Nothing can come between us. We’re stronger than ever.

The longer I live at Bainbridge Hall, the more apparent it is that someone is out to get me. They know too much and are determined to use my worst fears against me. As my memories rise to the surface, they bring with them vivid reminders of what I’ve lived through.

My past is tainted with awful truths. A reality that refuses to stay buried much longer.

But one thing’s for certain, these brothers I’ve fallen for will be here for me. They won’t let me down, won’t let whoever is behind the attacks on me get away with it. I’m theirs. And they are mine.

My loyal leader. My avenging hero. And my fierce protector.

Duke.
Mason.
Bear.

Even though each of us is dealing with our own demons, we’ll find a way through. Because together is the only way we’ll be strong enough to take the true bastards down once and for all.

Bainbridge Hall. Where I’ll finally unlock the nightmares in my head. Or die trying.

Duke is a 105,000+ word novel, the final book in the Bastards of Bainbridge Hall trilogy, centering around three men and one woman. MMFM

This trilogy contains dark elements, graphic content, and situations that some readers may be particularly sensitive to. If you have triggers or are remotely unsure, please contact me. I do have a list of content warnings available on my website. The Bastards of Bainbridge Hall. Spoiler Alert! ⚠️! 🚨!

The Bastards of Bainbridge Hall (BBH). I want to give a five star to this series, but I am having some difficulties. Duke is the last installment and the finale of the series. I read first the BBH series and then the Howntorne Hall series. I was so intrigued by the author writing and the plot of the BBH when I realized that the storyline was interlinked with the Hawntorne series; I read it while waiting for the release of Duke. I was disappointed by the Howntorne Hall plot, although it was an ok read. It is taking me a long time to write this review for the BBH.
I liked the main characters in BBH, Lennon, Mason, Bear, and Duke. What is my trouble? The male characters are seniors at a college, so they are 21-22 years old. They have lived and grown up with shady parents who handle many illegal businesses. Living with these types of parents, either children become morally corrupted as the parents or weaken and submit to their parents for fear, or strong-minded, curious, and opinionated, looking for a way out of their parent's lifestyle. The author penned them as they are strong-minded and they do not want to be dependent on their parent. They want to find their freedom away from their parents and their shady businesses. Why it took them this long to understand the depravity of their parents? Why they never thought of a contingency plan against their parents? Why did they not plot against their parents for the upper hand and the means to a free life?
I find that the finale has many holes in the script. Lennon, I really like her, with all the challenges and hard times continuously cast her way; she had to endure some hideous and rough times, but she was always true to herself and her character. Lennon is strong and intelligent. However, she had a problem with her memory, a memory loss of many events occurring to her, so how did she know what happened to Juliette and keep the secret between her and Juliette? Now this is a little contradicted by the author's writing. From what I understand so far, Lennon suspected of being raped but does not remember or partially remember? I was a little confused.
Why did she not have a complete memory loss of what happened to Juliette and know to keep the secrete? The author inferred Lennon has total memory loss, so I am confused about how she partially remembers certain events and does nothing about it. The Howntorne Hall boys were more brilliant than the BBH. I felt that the BBH were sometimes more naive, while the Howntorne Hall boys did not trust anyone and had video cameras in the house and outside. Even when the BBH organized the event, the Howntorne boys did not trust them, and they were always on alert. When the BBH no longer saw Hunter, why did they not suspect foul play? Why did they not assign someone to Lennon? Another doubt is Lennon's mother. There are no solved issues between Lennon and her mother. Why the mother did not suspect something terrible happened to her daughter?
Also, Mason suddenly understands and remembers that he was not responsible for his mother’s death. Mason, all his life since he was eight years old, believed he was the cause of his mother's death. There is no building on how many secrete come to light and the revealing of the plot. The unfolding of the events is fast-paced that they seem unbelievable. It took them less than a few days to plan and a few hours to overpower their parents, which is unrealistic; after all, these are ruthless parents. The parents are adults with many years of immoral and corrupted practices, and who knows who is their allegiances. I was hoping for a better ending to the series. I am a little disappointed. Even the extended epilogue was a little disappointing. I wished for a better epilogue and maybe a build-up friendship and collaboration of the two houses between the BBH and The Howntorne Hall. I was expecting the two female main characters would become best friends since they both have comparable quad relationships and are in their first year at the university. Both females have suffered horrific trauma. Regardless, I recommend the series. I think the author did an excellent job with the writing of the plot. I liked that each book is a continued flow into the following books, and each character has a dominant presence. None of the characters are left out or in the background, as happens when reading the story of a multiple-partner relationship.

WOW! What a great way to end a series. I really enjoyed how everything came together from the beginning. Of course the spice is 🥵🥵 I love all these boys! Lennon is beyond a strong character in this series but especially this book, you really get to see her strengths and growth. What an amazing journey. Highly recommend this!

Steam: 4.5/5
Strong Language: 4/5

Plot: 5/5

Duke is book three in The Ba$tards of Bainbridge Hall trilogy by Leila James. The series is most enjoyed when read in order.

”It’s the four of us. We’re ride or d!e.”

Book three picks up where the intense cliffhanger from Bear (book two) left us waiting and wanting. Lennon, our gutsy college student, is wrapped up in a mystery surrounding not only her past but also the interwoven lives of several of Kingston University’s students.

Mason, Bear, and Duke have put all doubts aside and are all in this relationship with “our girl.” Emotions and tension run high as they seek to protect Lennon from the nefarious influence of their corrupt fathers and the system they were raised in. The more they unravel about the details of the past, the more dangerous the discovery of being caught and the cruel retribution of their families.

All four characters go through huge developments and intrigue throughout the series and this book ratches that level to an epic proportion. Duke is a fast paced, very steamy, thrill ride from beginning to end. Once you start, you will be enraptured by these characters, Ms James‘ incredible writing style, and the exploding dynamics of this amazing novel.

Shout out to the appearance of characters from the earlier series, Brothers of Bainbridge Hall trilogy. I loved seeing these characters pop up again.

Book 3 in the bastards of Bainbridge Hall series. Check your trigger warnings before reading this book.

This is the 2nd series that I have had the opportunity of being a part of Leila's ARC team. I enjoyed reading how close each of the boys got with Lennon. The relationships they each have with her, it is something different with each one. Each one of them has thier own traumas they are dealing with, and they all help each other work and get through them.

Now, in this last book, we see the boys helping Lennon open up and figuring out why she keeps having these nightmares and why she can't remember what happened. We also get to see a relationship form with some other people you might know from a different series.

I had such an emotional connection with this book. It was interesting to see a different perspective on how people struggle with their addictions and traumas. How they were there for each other and didn't give up on each other.

The spice, holy crap. I'm 100% into smut. When I tell you the smut in this book is 🔥, I'm not joking. I got goosebumps reading those scenes. Leila has outdone herself with this last book, and I can't wait to continue to follow her in her writing journey.

What. A. Wild. Ride!!!! I was on pins and needles the entire book!!! This is my absolute favorite Leila James series and I absolutely LOVE her soooooo much!!!

I have wanted Duke’s book since I first met him in Mason’s story. Duke has and will forever be my boo!!! This story is sooooo HOT!!! I knew it would be hot but not that HOT! Wahoo! 🫠🫠

So much happens in this story. We were left on a cliffhanger and you get all the answers and so much more. Leila gave us her all in this story. She poured her heart into this story and I appreciate it so much. It was wonderful to have this story wrap up the way it did. And to bring back the Brothers of Hawthorne into this story, was the cherry on top! It brought incredible tension and so much to the story.

This is an incredible end to a phenomenal series!!! I love these characters. I love the angst, the tension, and even the crazy cliffhangers. I am soooo excited to see where Leila James goes next. So incredible!!!

“Duke” was the conclusion to Leila James’s Bastards of Bainbridge Hall series, and it was everything I didn’t know I needed and more. This book was dark and has some triggers, so please be kind to yourselves and read the trigger warnings before you start it. However, if you do decide to read, I think you’ll love it! This spicy college why choose? book was both action packed and suspenseful, and I could never guess the plot twists. Lennon was such a strong character, and I enjoyed her interactions with Duke, Bear, and Mason. Those three were all haunted by trauma in their own way, but I loved how devoted they all were to Lennon - and how the four of them healed each other’s pain. This was such an amazing end to an utterly epic trilogy, and I highly recommend it if you love dar and/or college romance!

I don’t have enough words to describe how good this book is…the tension, secrecy, and plot twists kept me engaged from start to finish. James weaves an intricate story of intrigue, deception, and chaos through the three books in this trilogy. This book ties everything together and I can honestly say I was on the edge of my seat as I read, waiting to see how Lennon, Duke, Mason, and Bear uncovered the lies and scheming while navigating their relationship. Told in multiple POV, the reader is able to truly understand each of these very complex characters and to see how their pasts and presents collide as the story unfolds. This book kept me up late into the night as I devoured each page, it is well written, engrossing, and spicy. I highly recommend this book and series; they are a MUST TBR.I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

What a conclusion so many things happen in this book but it wraps up so well. Lennon and Duke have such growth as characters. Lennon is forced to finally deal with her demons from her past. I love that we still get glimpse of the Hawthorn Hall guys still as well.

Wow, let me pick my jaw up off the floor really quick. Holy heck, this was an epic conclusion to this trilogy that kept me on the edge of my seat wondering who or what was coming next. Mason, Bear, Duke, and Lennon are some of my favorites. I loved getting to see Kingston, Cannon, Archer, and Elliot again. The spice us top notch as always. Again, an epic conclusion that is so good.

By far the best one. So much happened in this one. All the things that happened in the other books in this series and the Hawthorne hall series came to light. I am sad that this series is over. But I love how this all played out. Learning about Juliette more and how that all happened. I love how Leila concluded the series with the guys from both houses coming together at the end. So good. I’m not going to say how they came together because that would ruin it but y’all need to read both series to find out how they are connected. Lennon is a bad ass chick. All the guys in this series were fire. So many sexy scenes I loved them all.

Well shit that was an amazing book it definitely blew my mind. Leila is an amazing author especially with this trilogy.

This book is absolutely incredible so much so that you’ll definitely need to cancel any plans before reading because you’re gonna be sucked in so far you won’t realize you’ve read the whole book in one day. An she a Thicc book :)

In this final book of this trilogy we get all the answers we want from the first two books as well as this one. The characters are amazing an I’m happy with how things turned out for each one.

Lennon in this book finally gets her answers regarding her nightmares even if it’s extremely painful. She an the guys discover who is messing with her in the house an why.

The guys in this book are extremely protective of Lennon an for good reason. This book picks up right at the place book two ended.

Duke finally tells Lennon what his nickname for her means. It’s sad an happy at the same time. He’s realizing all his feelings for her an Mason.

Bear is super protective of Lennon a both Duke an Mason their his found family an he’d gladly protect them even if it hurt him. Lennons nickname for him during “fun times” is giving me soft Dom vibes an I’m all hear for it.

Mason gets one shock after another in the book. One humongous one blows his mind an shocks them all. He finally gets the closure he needs regarding his past.

All their fathers are asshats a Masons brother the revenge against them is very much deserved an makes me giddy.

We see past characters from the first three books in this book as well.

You do not need to read Kingston,Cannon or Archer to read this trilogy. I’d recommend you do though because it’s amazing balls as well as this trilogy.

My favorite guys are

Duke
Mason
Bear

Unless I can make them all number one :)

I’m sad this trilogy is over but I’m hoping for more from Kingston University so many sinister things seem to be going on at this college I need more.

Please check your Trigger Warnings before starting there are some dark ones that may be upsetting to those who have certain Triggers.

I’d recommend these books to everyone they all are amazing an if you love dark romance an reverse harems as well as a little mystery thrown in then these are the books for you.

Enjoy 😉

🖤♥️ Duke ♥️🖤 (Book 3 in the Bastards of Bainbridge Hall series) by Leila James

5/5 ⭐️
♾️/5 🌶️

🖤 Holy wow … ummm I’m still reeling. To be quite honest I don’t even know if there are words to describe how I feel about this book.

♥️ Let me just say this - Lennon fully redeems herself for me in this book. She truly has so much character growth from book 1 to book 3 and I am so incredibly happy for her. She finally takes back her life and gives herself something to be proud of and she overcomes so much that ugh my heart can’t take it - I freaking love a good redemption story!

🖤 Duke - I finally get him. It took 3 books but FINALLY. I’m telling you the twists and turns that this man goes through emotionally throughout this book and mentally - truly I am a Stan of Dukes.

♥️ Mason - oof. Man I really adore him. He truly has probably the best ending and god I love that for him. This man has gone through so much in such a short span of time and to truly see him come out the other side of it? Yea I’m gonna root for him all day. The things he finds out about himself and the healing - gosh he broke my heart and put it back together.

🖤 Bear - or should we say Daddy? 🫠🫠🫠 man he really towed the line in this one for me he made me wanna 🥊 him in the throat a few times because he wasn’t the bear we all grew to know and love and there’s reasons for it but man this mannnnnnn. I feel like he didn’t have to develop much because he was pretty much the most level headed of the group but I still loved him.

♥️ and the 🌶️ is 🌶️ y’all …. Js.

Absolute perfection! What an epic ending for Lennon and her guys who have become my favorite brotherhood of Bastards!!

Duke, the final book in Leila James BOBH series was action-packed, unpredictable and had me hanging on by the edge of my seat type of page turner! I seriously couldn't read fast enough because I was DYING to know what happens next!

From the twists and turns, the little surprises, every jaw dropping and OMG moment, to the unbelievably hot and heavy moments ....just freaking FANTASTIC! I was happily flipping pages and loving every minute of it! Especially DADDY BEAR because just damn if that man dosen't just do it for me! 😉🥵🔥

Because you'll get no spoilers from me, all I can say is that this ride might be a bumpy one but, with this final book, Leila makes sure to give you what you want, need, and SO MUCH MORE! Trust me when I say that Duke’s book is really SO DAMN GOOD!

As this series comes to a close, I'm unbelievably sad to say to goodbye to these beautiful Bastards and to Lennon, the badass heroine who tamed them. I love this gang and will definitely be revisiting this story again!

Ms. James continues to blow me away every time and coming back for more! I'm excited to see what she has coming next because you better believe I'll be waiting in eager anticipation until then!

From beginning to end this has been the most incredible series and I can’t recommend this author enough! Get this book and series on your TBR NOW! It's absolutely amazing and one addictive story you won't want to miss!

Erm yea! I have no words… I’m not crying! You are! I can’t believe this series is finished but what a ride.

As always, answers to questions we seek are fully given by book 3 and Miss James did not disappoint me once again.

I love how the characters have developed since book 1 and come together to become stronger.

I love Lennon as an FMC! I still don’t think these boys will ever live up to my boys over at Hawthorne Hall but they are a close second!

Once again an amazing read which I can’t recommend highly enough! Can’t wait to read more from Leila!

Get ready for one hell of conclusion to author Leila James's "Bastards of Bainbridge Hall" series in Duke.

With her worst fears being used against her, someone is out to get Lennon the longer her lives with the bastards at Bainbridge Hall. As her memories rise to the surface, her tainted past won't stay hidden forever. Her loyal leader, avenging hero, and fierce protector are determined to keep her safe and to always be there for her. But as they each fight their own demons, Bear, Duke, and Mason will stop at nothing to keep person behind it all from getting away with it. Will these three unlock all the secrets surrounding Lennon or will they die trying? Find out for yourself!!!

What a wild ride, not only, was Duke but the entire series! When these boys were first introduced in the "Brothers of Hawthorne" series, I was so intrigued by them. Bear, Duke, and Mason blew my expectations out the window. After another fantastic cliffhanger at the end of Bear, we are dropped right back into the story, and this book is jam packed with twists and turns. Leila James tied up all the loose ends and answers all the remaining questions perfectly. Duke is full of angst, tension, and pretty spicy times. I can't wait to see what Leila James has up her sleeves next for her readers.

Get ready for the best conclusion to this amazing trilogy. These men have become so strong, powerful, and resilient since Lennon came into their lives. She has made them better men and she’s shown them how much they are each worth and how much she means to each of them. Duke brings this trilogy to a jaw dropping phenomenal ending!! Duke has struggled so much through this series and he finally finds some closure and resolutions through his friends; Bear, Mason, & Lennon. They have showed him he’s not alone and that as long as they have breathe within their lungs they will all be healing and loving together.

This story is all consuming and you will devour each and every page. There is not a moment that is not amazing and all the pieces of this unforgettable storyline is examined and explained! This trilogy provided so much growth for these men and the woman who loves them with everything she has. Their love is undeniably the most pure, beautiful, and powerful; which leads to them all finding the answers they’ve all been slowly searching for. This story is sheer perfection and the ending is epic as well as the fantastic extended epilogue provided by Leila!! There are so many emotions embedded within these books that you will be forever grateful for these amazing stories! Please make sure you read Kingston University series before you read the Bainbridge stories because the connections are significant and make finishing this series all that more emotionally rewarding. Enjoy every moment because it does end too soon because it was an unforgettable ride. Thanks again Leila for creating these amazing worlds where the characters become more than words on a page. Happy Reading!!

I have been eagerly awaiting this book and as soon it was in my grabby hands I dove straight in, and OMFG Leila saved the best for last! I had so many theories as to what happened to Lennon (both in her past as a child, with Juliette, and with that insane cliffy in the last book) and although a lot of my theories were correct, there were still a ton of heartbreaking revelations. But above all the suspense and the chaotic evilness, there was still so much beauty and love within these pages. Lennon blossomed so much under her guys love and utter devotion, and Duke really turned it around not just for her, but for Mason as well. Then there's daddy Bear who is a personal favorite and her fierce protector who would do anything for her. What's not to love?!

So much happens within this book, so I definitely don't want to spoil anything, but WHAT a ride! From the very beginning we are hit with non stop action, and you feel everything our beloved characters are going through. They all have evolved so much during this series, and I'm so happy with where they all ended up. I just cannot recommend this book and this author enough!!

Thank you Leila for the ARC.

"It's the four of us. We're ride or die."

The perfect conclusion to a great series full of intrigue, secrets and betrayal. Bear, Duke. Mason and Lennon finally get to the bottom of Lennon’s nightmares. And it’s so much more involved than anyone could have imagined. Love the way Leila tied Bastards of Bainbridge Hall and Brothers of Hawthorne Hall together. All the pieces fit together and it doesn’t matter how broken or damaged they are because anything can heal and be fixed when it’s the right combination. The energy and anticipation will having you turning page after page unable to set it down. Oh, and I can’t forget, Mase and Duke share one of the hottest scenes I think I’ve ever read. Sizzling. Plus all the other shared activities. Another win for Leila.

“You were the brightest of them-the beautiful star who stole my attention."

"I'm never going to let anyone hurt you again. If it means I spend every moment with you glued to my side, that's how it's going to have to be. I need you. Your smiles. Your wit. Your fuckin' sass."

“I will always give you what you need.”

"I love how you know how to calm me
down. I love how you bring me out of the dark.”

“I love you madly and hard and so fucking deep you're embedded inside me.”

Was I prepared for the things that transpired in this book? No. Did I binge it though and only put it down because I dozed off reading? Yes.

When I started this series with Mason, I knew it was going to be good. At that time I had read the BOHH series and saw how well Leila could craft a good continuous story with these characters. I was ready as we had gotten a peek at them in BOHH. What I hadn't expected was to be totally engrossed and trying to put together the pieces of the puzzle. We got more of the interactions between all of the characters, but more so Duke and his own relationship with Lennon as well as Mason. I found his vulnerability at times to be relatable and honest. You get to see the truth behind the mask he wears and it made a lot more sense than I expected.

I was messaging a friend as I was reading and giving her all my thoughts on the pieces and who I thought fit where in the puzzle. I was so wound up over what could possibly be the twists! When it all came down to it, I was talking back to my Kindle. Let me tell you, I didn't see some of it coming and was slightly off base with another and I was shocked! I feel like the twists were done well. The honesty in Lennon's character really spoke to me as well. Because she wasn't a shy wallflower. When it came down to it she was strong and courageous.

If you love RH/WC with MM, lots of spice, twists, and turns, then this is the series for you! You honestly need to read them in order to get the full overall picture of the ongoing story. I can't wait for the next series!

Oh myyyy….did I enjoy reading Duke. After all the excitement and mystery everything was wrapped up and the journey to Duke’s, Mason’s, Bear’s, and Lennon’s HEA was rocky, exciting, twisted, filled with secrets, revelations, drama, angst, all the feels, Heat so much heat🔥🔥 and lots of love. Lennon was finally able to remember what happened to her and Juliet and with the help of Duke, Mason,And Bear she was able to put the past to rest. I absolutely loved the series of The Bastards of Bainbridge Hall and the Brothers of Hawthorne Hall. I highly recommend the Duke, Bastards of Bainbridge series, and Leila James as an author. I feel that readers who love RH books with lots of twists, turns, things going sideways, all the feels and lots and lots of heat the readers will definitely love any of Leila’s books. Leila has never let me down and I loved reading all of her books and can’t wait for the next adventure. Happy reading!!

Not Ready to Say Goodbye!!
Leila does it again with this perfectly twisted, dark and emotional plot that will suck you right in. Lennon and her guys were amazing. Mason, Bear and Duke are so different from one another but they all just complimented each other so well. The relationship she has with her men and the unwavering support that is given between all of them was beautiful. Their chemistry was super hot and things get kicked up a notch in this book. They find themselves mixed in deep with a secret society made up of corrupt men and a whole lot of secrets. Slowly navigating and trying to figure out the bits and pieces to put the bigger picture together. It’s a wild ride but we get the answers and the closure we needed. I was so happy that we got to see the Hawthorne crew make another appearance and work alongside the Bainbridge crew. It was an amazing ending to the series and I’m super excited for what’s to come next in this world.
