Fully Devoted: Willow Creek Community Church Est. 1975

Rate this book
Willow Creek Community Church, a non-denominational diverse congregation founded in 1975, under the leadership of Bill Hybels and his mentor Dr. Gilbert Bilezikian. Together with God's leading, this unlikely group set out to build "an Acts 2 church," modeled after the very first church, the community of Christ followers described in Acts 2:42-47.

But this is not a story about Willow Creek. It is a story about God -or, more accurately, about God's activity through people at Willow Creek, from its earliest days, across the years, and into today. Like all good stories, these pages are filled with joy and sorrow, friendships and family, growing pains, trials, nad victories.

This is the story of ordinary people and an extraordinary God.

What a great book. I really enjoyed reading about the history and testimony of such a great church. I am captivated by the drive to be a Acts 2 church, which is the goal and passion of Willow and it's leadership. Very easy and quick read, and very encouraging. Highly recommend for church leaders!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book is a powerful and inspiring testimony of faith in action. Rather than simply recounting the history of Willow Creek Community Church, it beautifully highlights how God works through ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things. The storytelling is heartfelt, honest, and deeply moving, capturing both the triumphs and challenges faced along the journey.
