Peter has only been in Calgary for a single month and he’s desperate to make some new friends. A trip to the gay rodeo opens his mind and introduces him to out and proud Mitch. He’s never been with anyone like Mitch, but he’s enthralled by the huggable bear, and the attraction is certainly mutual. Can a playful drag queen find love when he goes gay for cowboy?

The blurb sums it up nicely! Peter aka Petra meets Mitch a big leather cowboy and they hit it off immediately. I liked it well enough, it was just too short and rushed to really stay with me.
An unusual pairing, but sometimes things just fit. Peter has just recently moved to Calgary and is enjoying the quieter scene compared to his native Vancouver when he takes his first trip to the gay rodeo. A chance meeting with one of the cowboys competing at the event in the stands between competitions will change his life. Mitch is just the kind of man that Peter has dreamed of, strong, out and proud. Will Mitch be surprised when Peter's alter drag ego appears or will it be too much, only time and determination will tell.
I loved both Mitch and Peter. This was a fun, flirty and sexy read. My only wish is that it had been a full length novel. Mitch was such a hot alpha and Peter a sweet flirt I wanted more of their story.
I'm usually not much for reading about queens, but this short story is just full of joy and ease and playfulness. Nothing terribly significant here, no angst, no Deep Themes -- just simple entertainment.
What a sweet short story. Mitch and Peter, although very difference in appearance and careers were exactly what each other was looking for. I loved their romance. I just wish there had been more.
