Sixteen year old Delia wants to do something different to celebrate her seventeenth birthday---so she gets a tattoo of a design someone painted on a rock she found in her school locker. When the tattoo begins glowing in the dark and pulsing, she knows something is wrong. She discovers her mother's quiver of arrows, her bow and her dagger in the attic. Who was her mother? Why did she have these things? Delia's journey of discovery takes her to a deserted island off the coast of Greece to battle mythological creatures and to the Underworld of Hades to rescue those she loves.

Kathleen has been writing since she self published her first book of poems at the age of eight. Okay, she copied her poetry in her best printing, she hole punched the sides of paper, tied a red ribbon around it, made a construction paper cover and called it her first book! She writes in different genres, but Young Adult fantasy is her favourite.

Before I Read The Novel:
Ermm are we talking Sailor Moon with a twist?

In The Novel:
Half way through and I kind of like it. Of course we are talking about Greek Goddesses/Gods and there enemies but as it all unfolds it is definitely worth reading and I am enjoying it. I just wish it would speed up a bit, at parts it kind of drags.

Side comments: (as I'm reading the novel)
- Wtf is Jake doing with the hot and cold moves?
- You change your mind, like a girl changes clothes. Yeah, you PMS like a bitch, I would know. *sings*
- Kat.. I think she's part of the whole evilness thing.
- Okay a bit of cheese factor in this novel. Seems fake.
- Phoebe is annoying as all hell.

In The Novel:
Overall the novel was okay. I didn't find it great. At times it seemed childish and although the Greek mythology in the novel was mostly correct, I had a hard time believing it because of the childish and immature aspects added to the novel that made it seem over the top fake. The author needs to work at that better.

SUCKAGE!:
That Delia and Jake aka Z, can't be together because they each have their own task at hand.
