Recommended for gr. 4-8. A true story, written by a father from the point of view of his 9-year-old daughter. The family is involved in an auto accident on their way home from a happy family gathering. Rosmyn, the daughter, wakes up in the hospital and gradually learns that her father, mother and younger sister were all badly injured in the crash, her mother critically. Rosmyn is surrounded by caring adults - relatives, family friends and hospital staff - as she begins to understand what has happened. The father is determined that his family will continue even as he deals with the death of his wife. He reassures Rosmyn that her mother is watching them and taking care of them from heaven. The three survivors remain in the hospital for 3 weeks as they gradually recover enough to return home together. A touching story of a loving family as it deals with grief.
