Life is precious. And when life gets tough, challenging or overwhelming, you may not see it as precious. Those are the times when being able to witness, recognize and embrace the lessons we can learn are the most valuable. In Life Lessons from the Heart, the author shares her experiences of hard times and how she was able to work through them and even saw the lessons from them.
Teresa began her life as a symbol of inspiration; born under special circumstances weighing a little over one pound compounded with severe heart issues. She overcame these medical obstacles surprising the doctors by living beyond their projected life span of twenty-four hours. Later, in her teens, she was introduced to the world of writing when she submitted a poem for creative writing class which got featured in the school yearbook. Her professional background has expanded from working with family owned business to Fortune 500 companies as an executive assistant. This led her to start her own virtual administrative business, Key Business Partners, LLC in 2007. Following an internal sense of purpose, she turned that enterprise into an online book promotional company that has helped numerous authors share their personal message with others. In 2011, this native Floridian's true life purpose came to the forefront. As I was reading Life Lessons From The Heart, I found several lessons that I could personally relate to as I struggle in my daily life. One lesson in particular was about releasing control. Teresa Morrow said, "You may not always be in control of what happens next, but you can control how you take each moment of your life." In the past year and a half I've been hit hard with the loss of three family members and a friend, as well as struggling with illness myself. I've come to realize that I'm not in control of what happens in life. The only thing I can control is how I choose to deal with the reality of life.
Another lesson that I can relate to was about asking for help. As Teresa Morrow said, we need to recognize that asking for help is a sign of strength not weakness. Nobody likes asking for help, but there's no shame in doing so.
Whether you're a man or woman, spiritual or not, Life Lessons From The Heart holds something for everyone. Teresa Morrow not only shares life lessons, but also a piece of herself.
I really enjoyed Life Lessons from the Heart by Teresa Morrow. It is such a deep and honest book where the author shares some important life lessons that she learned from her personal experiences. I enjoy hearing other perspectives on life and it was refreshing to read about Morrow’s suggestions on how to live a quality life. I got the feeling that she wanted to teach others these tips before they make a mistake and have to learn it for themselves the hard way.
The lessons are definitely smart insights that everyone should learn about, and the way that Morrow shares about her personal experiences and speaks from the heart, it allows you to connect with her and feel like she is on your side - as a friend trying to help and guide you.
