The story of two radio DJs (Billy Magic and Rich Hunter) working a Classic Rock station in Santa Barbara, when they suddenly find themselves out of work and searching for a new station. The owner of a country station San Diego hears them on their last day, and hires them against the better judgement of his program director, stating that Classic Rock jocks should never, but never work a country station.

the week before being laid off Billy is sent to cover a fire in the mountains behind Santa Barbara when the chopper he is on crashes and he, a freelance cameraman find themselves surrounded by a deadly fire and a beautiful redhead. Once rescued Billy find the redhead to be the lovely lady he saw at a party the night before.

but the new job interferes with any romance and Billy and Rich move to San Diego. Once there Billy is contacted by the freelance cameraman who has sold the story of the fire to a Hollywood producer, who wants Billy to help write the screenplay and love and laughs ensue. What will become of Billy and Rich once fame and fortune comes knocking. Will stardom over take Billy’s life and what becomes of his dream girl? All good questions.
