Dylan declared himself dead inside, a man marred by tragedies in his life that made him abandon love -- both for himself and for others. But when a horrific accident gives him a final chance to experience love before death, he embarks on a journey that takes him back to his childhood days where life was simple. Or was it? The journey leads Dylan to unspeakable dark moments that test his deepest faith, where the courage to love against all odds becomes the difference between life and death.
I am blow away by Vanwestervelt's story. He writes in thick description and takes the reader on a journey through the heart and mind Dylan, a man who has faced more than one tragedy in his life. A real page-turner. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire story.
My Kindle died while I was reading this book and I couldn't wait for my replacement so that I could finish this story.
