Gavin and his friends have a strange hobby of investigating abandoned houses for paranormal activity. When you’re twelve, what else are you supposed to do for free? But when a strange family comes home during one investigation it will change their lives forever. Suddenly, Gavin has a pretty good idea why his small hometown has the highest per capita murder rate in the nation. It’s up to him and his friends to save the ones they love the most and the ones they’ve never even met. Unfortunately, these ghosts are determined to hold up their end of the bargain and will stop at nothing to walk the Earth for all of eternity.
SCARY BOYS is 62,000 words and contains some violence and adult language.
After graduating from The University of Iowa, I spent the next several years destroying radio shows around the country. Looking for something with a little more "bite", I began writing horror - resulting in the Amazon chart-topping, A Little More Dead series. After numerous battles with zombies, ghosts, vampires, and demons, I also wrote, at the behest of my wife, two New York Times Bestsellers under a female pen name. Slide into my DMs to find out who, and to also creep me the hell out.
My next horror book is the BEST I've ever written and unlike anything before it. This new one is coming soon! Follow me here for the latest.
5 boys, a haunted house, and some really mean ghosts. a fun read. Gavin and Randy are brothers, and Gavin's friends Scotty, Steve and Pincher set out to explore an old abandoned farm house, Gavin taking his iPhone along to use the video feature. They are not disappointed. The house seems frozen in time. Without giving too much away, the boys are put through all sorts of challenges, from battling a ghost family with an evil plot to bring as many souls to the dark side as possible, to their divorced mothers about to be evicted - girls, bullies and a serial killer. I enjoyed the book, especially the end which was surprising and interesting. ps beautiful cover.
This was a really good ghost story....and I LOVE a good ghost story! combine the spookiness of the ghost story with a coming of age story and you have, in my opinion, a perfect storm! There is a rather large cast of characters involved in this one so things can get a bit confusing at times, and there was less character development done then I would have liked, but I still really liked the final product. I will certainly recommend it to my fellow ghost lovers.
