Jack and Debra: happily married, everything is right in their world. They do it for each other and can’t imagine being happier. But Jack has a past. Oh, Debra knows about it—and she’s curious. So when a friend from that past blows into town, Jack decides to give both himself and his wife a very special gift.

Short and smutty. This novella follows a day in the life of lawyer Jack and his wedding planner wife, Debra. Their life is anything but mundane in the bedroom. No real character development. We are told how much they love and trust each other. It is nice to read a story like this through the eyes of a married couple. Of course, hubby had many more crazy experiences in the bedroom during his single life than wifey did. She wants to please him, he wants to give her a birthday present she'd never forget. What left a bad taste in my mouth is that Jack invited his BFF into their bedroom without talking it over with Debra first. Literally, the other guy walks in in the middle of it! Debra and David (the buddy) seemed used, to me. Jack discusses the emotional consequences with this wife after the deed is done. Seemed to me that it would have been enough without involving the third party, especially the way it was handled. Just odd to me. Of course, I'm not looking for realism or great plot in these types of books, but I didn't like the ending situation.
This was a short quick read that I thought was ok. Debra and Jack have been a couple for 7 years. Jack decides to give her a special birthday a night filled with a hot sex and another man. This book was hot. This was my first time reading this author. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling.
I have three words for this little number, pure smutty goodness. This short read starts off with a bang from the get go, right into a sizzling hot scene between Jack and Debra. You get a little bit of story in between the steamy scenes but in the end this read is all about the heat. Things get even more heated when Jack’s friend David enters the picture, a present for Debra on her birthday, something she has always wanted and as a bonus, something Jack himself has also been keen on doing.
I had never read anything by this author beforehand but all I know is she sure knows how to write steam; it wasn’t overly cheesy or full of unbelievable situations. There’s not much more to say really, just that if you enjoy a short smutty read like myself, then this might just be one for you.
Very descriptive, educational, and quite good reading. Hot scenes fun times. I quite liked it as it just wasn’t a scene in another story it was pure sex well described.
(★★★½) JACKED (TIED WITH A BOW) by Raven Morris is the perfect escapist read and rare as it is, I highly recommend it. Even if you wouldn't do some of the things in real life, you can enjoy the fantasy and a bit of kink via this well-done erotic novelette. I won't go into specific details because I don't want to ruin the story for others.
From page 1, JACKED is chock full of sex—in a good way. It's not the least bit sleazy because Ms. Morris does a wonderful job of laying a believable foundation of love, trust, and respect between Debra and Jack, who have a very healthy sex life several years into their marriage. Ms. Morris also reveals certain thought processes so that everything which takes place feels comfortable and right. And interspersed throughout this day of "play", there are little moments of reality and light-heartedness as would happen in real life.
My only small, silly complaint is that I got a bit tired of reading how much Debra and Jack loved each other. It was repeated so often in different ways that I couldn't help but wonder if Ms. Morris consciously did it to emphasize the "love" underlying the erotica. Whatever the reason, I got it after the third or fourth time.
JACKED was my first read of Raven Morris and I'll be sure to follow up with more. It was an easy, well-written story. There were some proofing misses but not enough to seriously detract from the story. (Although I'll admit one was a bit jarring simply because of the context.)
(As an aside, I wondered about the title. The wordplay could be taken in two different ways: their sex life got seriously "jacked up" or Debra got "Jacked" by her husband's birthday surprises. Either way, it was all good. ^_^)
* Thanks, Secret Book Claus(e)! What a great pick! :D
Happy Birthday to Deb! This scorching novella follows Deb and her husband on a very special day full of sexcapades that will leave any reader panting and fanning themselves. The trysts continually get hotter and hotter as the day progresses. This is definitely one hot read!
Jack loves, adores, and cherishes his wife Deb. They have always had a healthy and engaging sexual relationship. He wants to show her, gift her with the most pleasurable experiences he can imagine. He accomplishes this many times in this sexy little novella.
I like that Jack and Deb were married, in a relationship from the moment I met them. It allowed for the sizzling sex scenes to progress immediately without feeling rushed. Jacked is a perfect read if you are looking for a deliciously smutty quick read!
It's smutty, but it's also mature and respectful. (...and I never thought that I would say something like that about a book that depicts a menage.) I liked that the story was told from the point of view of a mature, adult married couple who clearly love and respect each other and are 100% attuned to each other in every way possible. No angst, no crazy love, nobody is broken, nobody is insecure. It's just a smutty story about mature consenting adults with a happy marriage and a very healthy mutually agreed upon sex life, despite six years of marriage and competing work schedules. This open marriage lifestyle may not be my thing, but I didn't mind reading about it in this context.
I enjoyed this book. A sexy story about a married couple, very secure in their relationship, very in love with each other, and the male gives his wife a very sexy birthday present.
It was definitely steamy. I think one thing that threw me off was the dialogue. I get that they're totally in love with each other, but I just can't see people who have been married for six years saying most of the flowery things they said to each other. It was sweet, but I found myself thinking "just shut up and screw her/him already", lol.
The thing I liked best about Jacked (Tied with a Bow) is that it is based on the love of a husband and wife with a strong relationship in every way. The detail of the sex was amazing and how Jack treated Debra made me drool with envy; he is gives his all to making her happy in every way. The author also shows their feelings and deep emotional ties to each other within the marriage. Jacked is a great story with sizzling sex! Raven Morris tells an excellent story and I will be watching for more of her writings.
This story is short, but heavy on the erotica. The sex scenes and chemistry were super steamy and dominated the book, but there was just enough back story and the characters were interesting enough that I didn't feel like I was reading it just for the sex scenes. That said, the primary purpose of the story seems to be to get you hot and bother rather than intellectually stimulated.
Totally awesome. It gripped me from cover to cover. I could not put it down as I had to finishi it but now it left me with wanting to know more like what is going to happen at her next birthday. Can't wait to read the other books you have written.
In most erotica books you have an unmarried couple, this book was different and I loved it. Jack is a loving and devoted husband who makes sure that his wife, Deb, enjoys her birthday in any loving, sensual, and erotic way. Makes me wish I had me some Jack!
Jack and Deb are married and very much in love. The product of a one night stand and Dayum are they hotttt!!! I don't think I've ever read hotter sex scenes in a book about a married couple.
100% smut with no substance or plot. If smut is what you're looking for, this is the short-story for you. If you don't mind a bit of it but like a good story - look elsewhere.
The sex was hot! But Debra and Jack's constant cooing was too sappy. It' s nice to read about a married couple in love and exploring their interests. That's a happy marriage!
