Following a run-in with the local thugs, something awoken within the young woman; powers that put her beyond mere mortals. These gifts protect her but they also put her and those she loves at risk. In a world where the strong do what they want and the weak must oblige, Azul has the chance to be something no one has seen in years, a hero!
I enjoyed Azul a lot! It was a great story, and I loved to see Muslim representation. I also loved that the book made me have audible reactions be it from laughter or shock. This book is an easy read and I did not want to stop after every chapter. I cannot wait for the sequel!
A courageous heroine and dragons; this book has both! And who doesn't love those? But the story left me with questions! I hope there is a sequel in the mix!
