William Jackson was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on October 21, 1983. He was a loving son and a wonderful brother. On October 6, 2007, he married his queen and love of his life, Angela. Together, they brought a beautiful daughter into the world in 2008. Not only was William a dedicated and passionate husband, but he was also a fierce and inspiring father. Unfortunately, William unexpectedly passed away at 36 during what was supposed to be a routine medical procedure on May 8, 2020. To honor his memory, this talented group of authors has come together, penning brand new, original stories that center around fathers to raise funds for The Student Support Network in Parkville, Maryland. This charity, chosen by his widow, helps provide supplies and other necessities to underprivileged students at Parkville High School, William's alma matter. 100% of the proceeds from this anthology are donated to charity.
Courtney grew up in Baltimore and is pretty sure she threw her ability to give a f**k into the Inner Harbor long before high school. Like almost every writer on the planet, she started writing at a very young age. Her “way with words” led to her being the go-to person for writing funeral speeches for a long time.
For fourteen years she worked full-time as a paranormal investigator and demonologist until retiring in 2014. During that time, she had three children, earned a degree in Psychology, and eventually got back to writing.
Today she lives in Middle Tennessee with her children and boyfriend, and spends the majority of her time writing things that make people smile while cutting their emotions deep, running her own professional editing company, and enjoying life . Repped by Ena Burnette at SBR Media.
Remembering William Anthology Is love fest, with 5 amazing authors all contributing stories for an amazing cause! While I loved all of the tales, I was particularly fascinated with The Vampire Stepdad by Courtney Lynn Rose.
If you like True Blood/ Sookie Stackhouse series, then this is the story for you! Alessandro Di Stefano is a 548yr old vampire, who "has lived a life." He has recently moved into a small Louisiana town and met Charlotte McNee a stunning bartender with the patience of a saint, and her two kids at home 13yr old Beau and 7yr old Addie. After spending time with her and the kids Alessandro develops strong feeling for Charlotte but his afraid to tell her his deepest secret, that he is a vampire.
I would love to see more of this story in the future! I have enjoyed reading about Hille and the kids and would like to see where they go in life! Super fun quick read! Don't miss out!
Remembering William is a collection of short stories from various authors with a range of genres.
Courtney Lynn Rose’s short ‘the vampire step-dad’ is a story of Alessandro who is lived a full life seeing some historic moments. Although a life eternal comes with it hardships - he has to move every few decades so people don’t become suspicious. He moves to a town in Louisiana were he meets Charlotte a human who not only fascinates him but draws him in. There is an instant connection between these two. Charlotte is a single mother of two who works to support her two children.
This short centred on Alessandro and Charlottes relationship and her two children plus Hille Alessandro’s prodigy.
I read Vampire Stepdad by Courtney Lynn Rose and it was so good. The instant connection between Alessandro and Charlotte was beautiful to see. Alessandro has been on Earth for a long long time and has seen many different things, but he has never felt what he feels for Charlotte since he was turned. I loved Charlotte and her kids. She is a strong single mom and you can see her strength. I loved meeting Hille, and once you get to know her she is great. I hope that we get to see these characters again, because they are wonderful. Read what happens between them all and see the wonderful man Alessandro is.
This is a lovely book with lots of short stories. I loved the Vampire Stepdad by Courtney Lynn Rose. Alessandro has been a vampire for 550 long years and has to uproot and move every decade or so before neighbours and other people in town notice that he never ages. After arriving in town he meets bartender Charlotte and there is an instant attraction between the two of them, he hasn't felt this deeply for anybody since he became a vampire. Her children immediately take a liking to him too. Will Charlotte and her children be able to accept what he is?
I'm reviewing Horror vs. Chick Flick for Ashley Amy. Dani is an FMC coming off some serious betrayal and starting a new adventure. I love her for being a female mechanic alone. We need more of them IRL. Ash is a sweet, albeit jaded single dad with the best of intentions. A man who runs his own daycare and does it well? YES! Honestly, this story is a perfect example of why we should abandon gender roles and embrace our lives. Slow burn in the best way. I need the rest of the story ASAP!
This charity book and is about overcoming the impossible. I'm a huge fan of Courtney Lynn Rose and I normally do not like anything about vampires. But her story really didn't get into the normal vampire realm. It is more about finding your true love. The story was compelling from the beginning and it does have an HEA. The book is for a good cause and you need to read it because the stories are amazing.
This charity anthology was so good. I loved each story that was submitted and I can’t wait to see where they all go. The stories by Ashley Amy and Embry Fox held me captive from start to finish. Ashley Amy’s Horror vs Chick Flick made me laugh and I loved the connection between her characters. Embry Fox’s The Scars We Hide started off sweet and I can tell both MC’s have a past they are healing from. I definitely need more of both of these stories!
I loved this charity book. It was captivating and very well written! There is steaminess galore, attraction is undeniable and the characters are awesome! It is so refreshing to see stories about devoted fathers, stand up men. Remembering William by Courtney Lynn Rose is an enthralling, yet hot, endearing and steamy love story that will pull at your heartstrings. It is a must read charity book.
I voluntarily submitted an ARC review for this book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this anthology. I really loved all but one story. All the stories were well written and had great storylines. I was sad that there were cliffhangers on a few of the stories. I think that this was a great mix of authors and look forward to more from this group together.
I read this for Courtney Lynn Rose's Vampire Stepdad and I absolutely loved it! Alessandro and Charlotte are truly wonderful. I love how he is with her and her children. This was a wonderful short story and I can't wait to dig into the rest of the stories as well!
I enjoyed all of the short stories in this anthology. The Vampire Stepdad was especially an amazing book. I loved how Alessandro maintained his old school values and charm throughout the story!
Vampire stepdad was really good. Alessandro has finally found someone that sparks an interest. Charlotte is a bartender and a mom of three. He comes into her work and sparks fly. Telling charlotte what he is is a little more difficult. Always have to have faith.
The only author I am really familiar with in this anthology is Courtney Lynn Rose. I am as t expecting a Vampire romance and it was a nice surprise. I liked the characters and would be interested in a story about Hille.
I think you will enjoy the other stories int his anthology as well.
I grabbed this book for Courtney Lynn Rose’s story The Vampire Stepdad. This story had me hooked from the get start. I love the chemistry between Alessandro and Charlotte. Their instant connection was awesome. I also loved how protective Alessandro was over Charlotte and her children. I also love Alessandro’ cousin Hillie. The author does an awesome job of bringing stories which you become engrossed in. I highly recommend this book. I can’t wait to check out the other stories in this book.
