This book is a mystery, and not in the literal sense. It's a careful yet chaotic display of words and thoughts engulfed in the most passionate way of writing, any writer ever could. Like most of Grace's essays on life and its many musings, this one requires a concentrated and devoted attention span. He writes and explores about Devadas, Paro and Chandramukhi's complex struggle from Sarat chandra Chattopadhyay's novel, yet Grace's presentation of these three characters as people invokes sympathy for the turbulent lives they lived in the novel. As for his conversations about his beloved Saoul, Lily, Madhavi, one feels like they have met these people in flesh without having to do anything with their lives. A verse gets dramatic and much more serious thoughts are explored by Grace in this book, notably his many random thoughts that somehow end on death. This has not been a pleasant read, but one mustn't expect Grace to pluck heart strings without invoking a fair share of misery within it.
