This book provides all-new insight into one-to-one business networking and buiding trust. The book will help readers understand why they should not rely too heavily on the internet to provide networking momentum, especially in using networking to keep a job or get one. It also details why face-to-face contact is still the most important way to reach people effectively during uncertain times in the job and career market.
During my reading I came across mention that this book was written mainly for guys, as written from a guys perspective. I don't truly believe that guys and gals network all that different.
Not a bad book for someone who has never networked, or believes they have never networked. But for me, I just really didn't feel like I picked up anything new. I have been networking since I started getting into modeling at 13, and then when I started writing after that. I also networked my butt off when I was a music magazine editor. For an old pro, the book was an alright refresher course.
I definitely recommend this for beginners in the world of networking, both online and off. But those with experience may not find enough new info to keep them interested through the entire book.
I received this book as a goodreads giveaway. Overall the book was just ok. There are some good tips for networking, however, engaging in the book can be difficult, so these tips can also be easily passed over. I think it could and would be very helpful for a younger reader just out of college or even high school. Having been in the workforce for a number of years most of the book is redundant to anyone that puts effort into the expanding of their career.
It would be a good book for certain managers to give to there employees for team-building skills.
Thank to the goodreads team for giving me a free copy of this book!
This is a book about business networking of course and i find it ok. No more, no less. If this is part of your work, you may find one or two interesting point or idea, vut you wont rediscovered an all new way of doind thank. S not bad, but certainly not refolutionnary. I recommend it for those of you who worked in business and find them maybe a little lost in the networking and new tech.
This book has lots of helpful suggestions on how to begin or enhance your networking skills. For me personally, I find networking challenging, so this book will be a good source to review and help me to plan ways to improve my networking. I was also interested to learn some of the ways that I am already networking and other ideas that one might not have thought of and how those methods can be used to broaden your network.
