5 characters find themselves mysteriously transported to ancient Rome.
Louis and John are altar boys and teen cousins.
Ronald Coleman is super rich and generous.
Adam Herde and his wife are famous actors.
The new-adult sisters who wrote this novel did a ton of research in ancient Rome, which make it come alive in Nero's time.
The boys are traditional Catholic, Ronald is a born again Christian, and the Herdes believe in an distant, uninvolved creator.
They all face different challenges. St. Paul enters their lives and tries to show them the way to salvation. When Nero burns Rome and blames the Christians, they all question what it is they really believe.
Great first novel by talented young ladies.
