We met young Trouble from the We Run New York series but his story doesn't end there. In fact, it doesn't begin there either. So let's go back in time to see what events eventually lead the kid to being a stick up kid. This his story before, during and after linking up with the infamous Buddha crew. You know how that story ends, his is just beginning. Here comes Trouble...
Trouble spoke about some of his life, how he lived, his struggles, and was recapping on what happened in We Run New York series from his point of view. When he met Buddha, Rip, and eventually Killa. It was also where he met the love of his life Keisha. Trouble wasn't really a bad kid. He was actually mild mannered. Born to a crack addicted mother who was murdered and raised by a grandmother who was lowkey an alcoholic as well as surviving off the bare minimum. Had Trouble following his friend Manny robbing people. Trouble was Manny friend but Manny wasn't his friend. Manny was born to a drug addicted mother as well. He was scandalous, conniving, and cold hearted to be so young. Trouble learned just how cold Manny was. Something Trouble had to learn the hard way about his so called friend. Manny reminded me of Travis, Kev, Carlos, and Giggles wrapped up into one person. Trouble life changed drastically when him and Manny was trying to rob Buddha and Rip. It backfired and both men ended up becoming family to young Trouble. He tried to help Manny but that didn't go well. Killa training Trouble put him in a whole new profession. Trouble was wiping out enemies left and right.
A lot of this was a repeat of previous books but it’s still give you some different insights on Trouble and also tells you a little about his life after the raid. It’s also explained how he got caught up with the Feds. I just wish these books were in some sort of chronological timeline. It would’ve been less confusing if we knew something about their ages, year that event occurred. But overall, still a good read even if it’s redundant and repetitive. I’m not gonna lie, I skipped through majority of this book. But that’s ok author, you got your point across, Trouble was something serious, he wasn’t nothing to play with, certified.
I love the reminiscing about how Trouble got his start with the Buddha crew and how they all lost out but that ending had me, and let me not forget about Rudy. I was floored!! I loved how Rip turned into Said, but I really can't wait for part 2. Absolutely loved it!!!
I chose this rating because this was just a repeat of We Run New York. Highly upset. 85% of this book we the same. I thought this book was suppose to focus on Trouble. It wasn't, if you have read We Run New York. Don't waste your time reading this book. It repeats we run new york. Trust me. Highly disappointed.
Sa ' id ALWAYS keeps it exciting from beginning to the very end, whenever I'm looking for something to read his the first I search for and I'm never disappointed.
It was good seeing the story from his point of view. Glad he got out eventhough he is still causing trouble. I like the story connection with him and Killa. Good read
I read this author novel since is first one. He is the amazing author I read since I started reading at the age 12. When I read a Donald Goines book I fell in love with urban fiction I truly love each book better the previous book great job
