I read this book so long ago, that I can't remember the details. It was all about a woman who lived in Wales, with lots of animals, and at the time of reading, I loved it.

Enter the strange world of a writer whose home is also home to a wide variety of animals from horses to goats to sheep to chickens to dogs and cats. Each animal has a unique personality. Their interactions among themselves and with their 'owner' are written well with beautiful descriptions. Many people won animlas. Few really observe their animals in the depth this woman does.
The property is located in Wales. It sounds like a truly fantastic place of woods, pastures, hills and bordering the ocean.
A real highlight was the chapter on the animal's party when they were allowed access - this includes the goats and horses - to the house to enjoy listening to a concert on the radio. They love Strauss and marches.
The book is delightful, easy reading and seems more fiction than reality. But the observations ring true.
