I've just finished this small book about Kuan Yin. Originally written in German(copyright 2006 Hans-Nietsch-Verlag, Freiburg, Germany), the book was translated into English and published in 2007. It contains a lot of interesting information. However, I found the use of "he" in the Lotus Sutras, in reference to Kuan Yin, to be both jarring and disruptive to the flow of the book.

This book gets a lot of use in my house. It was fascinating learning so much about Kuan Yin and her history and what she represents. My favorite part is the multiple artist renderings of Kuan Yin. I like to use that section as an oracle reading for the week. I love feeling like Kuan Yin has my back as I go through my week.

Beautiful illustrations of Kuan Yin's many forms— I keep this book on my altar, opened to a different page when I want to meditate upon this deity's compassion, wisdom and guidance. I appreciate the extensive details of each form, such as the tools Kuan Yin holds, or mudras and Lotus Sutra verses associated with each avatar. Very useful, very beautiful.

This is such a great book to find out the basics about Kuan Yin. I keep this book near, I guess because it makes me feel a closeness to Kuan Yin.

This is an exquisitely wonderful book on Kuan Yin. I am definitely going to use this one in my practice quite often. The pictures of her in her different manifestations are very inspiring.
