No, Elektromedia korporacija želi zataškati taj sramotni incident, bez obzira na trošak.
I've been writing for a long time-- comics, games (like Destiny 2), books-- there's always *something.* But lately I've gotten into modern-day YA novels with the Alex Van Helsing series and now middle grade with the new Young Captain Nemo series.
I think these two volumes are my palette-cleanser after The Vision of Escaflowne yesterday. No bad taste left in my mouth!
While not particularly remarkable, the ideas behind Psy-Comm interest me: war has become entertainment; nations are replaced by corporations; battles are conducted to amuse the people. Kinda like a bigger, badder Hunger Games where more things go boom... and one other aspect. Some of the soldiers are 'psy-comms', which as best I can guess is short for Psychic Commandos. They have a variety of powers, from precognition to telekinesis to pyrokinesis to manipulating gravity. The word for them would be 'cool'.
The two main characters, naturally, are both psy-comms. One is a veteran who's lost too much in the wars and wants to get out; the other is a newcomer from the other side who reminds him of an old friend. There's some tension stemming from the fact that they're supposed to be enemies, but it fades quickly since pretty much everyone else wants to kill them.
All in all, fast-paced and fun, though not too strong on characterization; the story and art are good enough to make me wish there were more than two volumes.
The second volume of this OEL manga is still good but not as good as the first, outstanding volume. The story did not take my interest so much and I hated the change of the artist. The art became less manga-like and I did not like especially the change that happened to the main heroine. Still, one of the best OEL manga available and I will pick up the next volume.
The first book set up a great series, but the second book really fell short of what the first one built up. There was potential for some huge themes, but they just never happened.
