After uni, I started working in PR and got bored to tears. It was more fun being a waitress and writing in the dark silent hours from 2am to 6. I managed to complete a novel I called "Being A Girl" and fell over in the street after Nexus published it and the editor gave me a bottle of champagne I drank too quickly. Now, here we are, penning away night and day, five novels and three naughty-shorties on the shelf with a study of EL James called "The Fifty Shades of Grey Phenomena" just out.

Totally up to Chloe's usual [mile!] high standards of erotica.

There is the slow build up towards the inevitable. We all know that it is going to happen, except, appratently, the niaive heroine of the piece, Kelly Conway.

Kelly is flying business class for the first time in her life, having landed a plumb job in Houston. She is almost open-mouthed with wonder as a whole new world opens around her. The service is superb, and her flight gets even better when the sexy gentleman who helped her through security and the boarding gate plonks his gorgeous ass on the seat right next to Kelly.

The meal is interesting, and the flight steward is full of innuendo and thinly veiled implications.

An extremely explosive hour in one of the business class bathroom at 30,000 feet ensues. Chloe Thurlow tells it like she's actually been there and done that, but I may be wrong! Either way, I am envious, as it has been a life-long ambition of mine, since the age of fifteen, to join the MHC. One can only read and imagine!

Finally, without giving anything away, I will never look at a chocolate-coated marzipan bar in the same way for as long as I live!

A wonderfully written sexy tale, Chloe Thurlow regales us with an erotic encounter with a stranger on a plane Filled with pop culture references, humor, motifs and hot, descriptive sex that teases with a marvelous eye for detail before unleashing a satisfying climax that surprises both the narrator and the reader.

It's a decent quickie.

There were a couple elements of the sex scene that turned me off, instead of on. The proofing could have been better. But Thurlow's writing style is a bit different from that of the erotica writing masses. I wonder how it will hold up over the course of a full-length novel.

Note: I had originally referred to the psychological aspect of sex, in trying to describe what sets Thurlow's writing style apart from other erotica writers. But I wasn't comfortable with that analysis.

I've flown long hall plenty of times and been upgraded once. Please can I have an upgrade next time if this is what happens? Chloe Thurlow takes a subject filled with cliché, sometimes a little sordid and transforms it into a fabulous piece of erotica that touches all the senses. Cleverly written with a depth of character that feels real, all the time you're in Kelly's head, feeling everything she feels. At each step of the way, you are left in no doubt that Kelly is in control and it's her decisions and choices that drive the events. I liked that very much.

The build up is steady as it should be, leading to the exciting, inevitable event. The sensual, gastronomic foreplay is beautifully described; the chocolate and champagne imagined so well you can taste them (I learned something about Marzipan). Everything about the hot, sizzling climax of the story feels real.

Read it, enjoy, savour the writing, and look forward to the next Chloe Thurlow story that you're going to buy.

Oh, and not to forget the cover. A beautiful B&W that makes the book look great on all forms of kindle.

My second taste of Chloe Thurlow's writing, Flight 69 does not disappoint despite its shorter length.

Kelly Conway is on a journey in more ways than one; not only is she moving up in her career and boarding Flight 69 to take her to a new city, a handsome stranger - James Swanson - will also take her on a journey of self discovery. After a little small talk, some flirting and of course Champagne & chocolate-covered Marzipan, the two of them end up living out their most primal desires in the Business class wash room. James shows Kelly that there is more to sex than the quickies she's accustomed to from her now ex-boyfriend; you truly have to give yourself in order to receive pleasure.

Flight 69 is well written - as I've come to expect from Chloe's work - including plenty of clever dialogue and wonderfully described, tantalising sex.

Short stories and erotica truly go hand in hand and as such I'm always on the lookout for little gems to load onto my Kindle for a little bit of fun before bedtime, or to be enjoyed during my lunch hour at work. This book is definitely one of those gems which I'll keep to enjoy again another time.

Flight 69 - The Mile High Club

The plot is intriguing, stranger sex with a sexy guy while on a red eye flight in Business Class, however, two rather disgusting things happened to ruin it for me.

*********Spoiler Alert**********
While in the bathroom of the airplane she has to urinate, he doesn't let her wipe and uses his tongue on her. Eww.
Secondly, after anal sex she immediatley takes him in her mouth. Double Eww.
*********Spoiler Alert**********

If not for the above things I would have given it 3 1/2 stars.

I received a free e-copy of this short story after I sign-up to the author's mailing list. This has not affected my review or rating in any way.

A business class flight, a good looking blue-eyed man, and a hot quickie in the wash room...... something I've never read before. This is my first Chloe Thurlow's read.

I like the character of Kelly Conway. We have the same perspective about happiness and relationship and I've asked the same questions to myself before. Although I like the sexy cover, the plot and the heroine, there's two things in the sexy scene in the wash room that really disgusted me. When you read it, you'll know what are those.

Although I got that "eew" from the climax and was disappointed because it wasn't as hot as what I expected, still a well-written short story that's worth checking out. I may not enjoyed but you might.

You will get this short story for free when you sign-up to the author's mailing list so be sure to check her website.

This is my second Chloe Thurlow read and I'm really hoping this trend of what her heroines appear to be is really just a nightmare and not a reality. Like really? How am I supposed to continue reading this crap if the heroine is mentally having a field day with 50 Shades references?! ICK. THUMBS DOWN. WAYYYY DOWN. Also, I'm getting the second hand embarrassment for the heroine. You know the kind of embarrassment you get for a fictional character because they're acting a fool? Well, I feel that way about this heroine. She's trying to act like she belongs in "the business class" and she's basically being ignorant and ridiculously naive about reality. If Darwinism was allowed to happen with humans, she would be one of the first to go.

Had Potential-Seriously Unrealistic

The title gives it away, so I know what I was getting. But erotic fiction can still be good fiction. Unfortunately this one was ridiculous. I understand it's a short story, but too much time was spent in the h's inner dialogue. The h was a snob. I got past that. But I do want to like the h in stories. Felt no connection to her. The H was ok. He gave good advise. Probably saved the story. And the sex...No spoilers...But that last part was so not going to happen that easily.

Chloe shows in this story that she knows her target audience. She incorporates their interests in the story through her main character Kelly and once she has made you feel comfortable in her company the flight plan changes and the speed and heat are notched up to leave you singed, sweating, and reaching for your drink. And it's a drink you'll be in need of as the climatic scene will leave you parched with it's gorgeous descriptions, smooth engaging dialogue, and sizzling buildup
