Arabelle and her cat, Izzy, move into the Witches’ Retirement Home, but everyone keeps tripping over Izzy, so he’ll have to go. He coaxes the witches into scraping together leftover magic to cast a spell and give him a safer home—on the ceiling! Told entirely in rollicking verse.
Don’t judge this book by its cover: the stars of this book are a fabulously spunky cat and a houseful of creativity, character and clutter. This refreshingly original book is bursting with tumbling rhyme, boisterous illustrations, and a deliciously happy ending.

This might have scored higher with me if I wasn't trying to translate it from Spanish to English. All the children I read it to enjoyed the story and coloring pages I found to go with it from the author's website.
Perfect rhythm, which is rare to find in a rhyming children's book.
The story is cute and offers a message of persistence and creativity, with the gregarious cat finding a solution that makes use of the retired witches' skills. A good Halloween-themed read for children who are easily frightened, as all of the witches are good-hearted and nonthreatening.
