Following a devastating defeat over the planet Aerilon, Gunnar Howcha was the sole surviving member of a renegade group called Faction Tengold. He immediately set about rebuilding Tengold, aiming to take his revenge against the Rangers who defeated him before moving to conquer the planet.

However, his plot for revenge would land him in even deeper trouble, for the Ranger Legion he meant to attack included three very volatile women in its ranks. Because of Howcha's actions, these three women would strike out on their own as a trio to exact revenge against him.
