A fictional account of an infidel turned Christian who conducted debates about the authority of the Bible during the later part of the 1800s. I read the hardbound 20 years ago. I loaned that copy, but I've recently found an ebook public domain version. It's available on my www.disciplesindeed.net.
I probably found this book in some thrift store, in an icelandic translation from 1947. It´s name is actually much better than "David Dare". If I turned the icelandic into english it would be similar to: "The truth will prevail under pressure". I found it again a few weeks later on the bookshelf in my home-chapel and started reading it and it´s very informative and interesting. This is definitely an old gem that I wish more people could know about.
