Jennie had fallen in love with Sheriff Daniel Braddock the night they’d first met at her parents’ party. He’d been back in Boston to see his parents, but not planning to stay. His life was in frontier Kansas now and he swore he would never come back here again. She didn’t want him to leave; he couldn’t stay. But they’d decided to marry, in spite of their differences, in spite of both their families being against it. All she knew was that she wanted him…and she would find a way to convince him to move back to Boston. He’d married Jennie in a spell of craziness. She was from the life he’d left behind and would never return to. Their marriage would never work. She was pampered and spoiled. She would never make a frontier wife. So he’d left her behind with her parents, telling her he would come back for her, certain she would come to her senses first. And then she came to find him…Daniel couldn’t let her stay, but he couldn’t let her go either. But he damn sure wasn’t going to let her think she could manipulate him. A good man understood the importance of keeping his woman in line, loving her, too, but definitely applying his hand to her butt when needed. Jennie loved a challenge, loved her stubborn husband. But did they love each other enough? This book contains descriptive scenes of spanking used as discipline for an adult. Well, even when she travels to places like Maui, the U.K., France, Italy, or even spots in the good old USA, she's dreaming and plotting. And taking oodles of pictures wherever she goes.

Since my GR friends know that I often read erotic romance, I must first say that Daniel is NOT erotica. This was my first exposure to a genre that I would call domestic-discipline-romance. It was actually quite sweet; there was very little sex (but a good deal of sexual tension); and the relationship wasn't consummated until after the wedding.

Jennie Braddock is a new bride who leaves the familiar surroundings of an upper class Boston neighborhood to join her husband, Daniel, in the frontier town of Dryfork, Kansas. Daniel has his hands full with his impulsive, headstrong young wife, who seems to embroil herself in one scrape or misadventure after another. Fearing for her safety and worrying whether they can make their marriage work, Daniel uses a firm hand with his wife--delivering spankings to punish Jennie's misbehavior (LOTS of spankings).

If you enjoy domestic discipline romance stories, you may enjoy Daniel , book 1 of The Braddocks.

Daniel was back east and got married to Jennie now that its time for her to arrive he has a lot of worries about how she will adapt to the harsh life of the west. There are lots of ups and downs as they try to adjust to each other during trouble with outlaws. I love how when push comes to shove Jennie is a strong woman in her own right and it's clear that Daniel really loves her.

Another great story with an alpha cowboy as the hero. This one is even better in my opinion because it is a historical novel with a strong female heroine. Even though they have their ups adn downs it was fun to watch their relationship develop. Looking foward to the rest of this series.
