Bir gün içinde bu kadar çok şey yaşamak, fantastik bir kitap için bile biraz abartı gibi geldi bana... Bu seriye uzun bir ara verdiğim için çoğu karakteri ve karakterlerin kendi hikayelerini unutmuşum ama okudukça çoğunu hatırladım. Olay örgüsü iyice karmaşıklaştı, ilerleyen zamanlarda neler olacağını çoook merak ediyorum. Jason çok sinir bozucu bir çocuk, Anita’nın da ondan eksik bir yanı yok; tencere yuvarlanmış kapağını bulmuş :/ Julia’ya da hala ısınamıyorum. Şu ana kadar gerçekten sevebildiğim karakterler Bay Bloom ve Tommaso... Diğer herkesin çok esrarengiz hayatları ve kişilikleri var, bir türlü güvenemiyorum kimseye...

Nie mogę dać więcej niż 2.5, ponieważ autor gubi się w zeznaniach i przeczy sam sobie oraz temu, co napisał w poprzednich częściach. Ponadto sposób prowadzenia fabuły nie pomaga rozwojowi bohaterów, wręcz ich spłaszcza. Muszę tę książkę przeczytać w wersji papierowej, ponieważ interpretacja audiobookowa Jacka Rozenka szła mi naprawdę topornie (mimo, że tom 8 czytany przez niego naprawdę dawał radę). Błędy: zarówno merytoryczne, jak i fabularne, są jednak ciosem, którego nie mogę przeboleć, mimo, że cenię ten tytuł, który jak pozostałe z tej serii niezwykły klimat, a także wiele ciekawych rozwiązań. Mimo wszystko wielki zawód.

I really don't know how it's possible that this series keeps on surprising you. I thought that I've seen everything, that I know everything but with each next book I read, I'm being proved wrong. The truth is: you can't predict what will happen next, no one can. And maybe that's what keeps you wanting to read this book and making the reading so thrilling?
I think that this book is special amongst the whole series. My heart was racing like wild while I was reading it. Thirst, there was this giant wave that came from door of Kalipso's bookstore and which flooded Kilmore Cove. Then it turned out that good old doctor Bowen is bonkers and he wants to destroy all Doors to Time. And Thirdly, there is this awful plan to burn Villa Argo. Mostly because of those three things reading this book was like a roller-coaster ride. The anxiety, sadness, frustration - this was too much and sometimes I just wanted to cry.
The plot mainly takes place in Kilmore Cove, which is a nice change from the constant travel through non existing lands. There is a part where Jason takes off to an snowy land in search of answers for the most important questions, but it's rather small comparing to Kilmore Cove part.
Though I love this series, there is one thing that annoys me: teenage love. Maybe I'm too old and it looks so stupid to me, almost laughable. I just can't remain serious while teenage love appears. For this, I'm sorry. But love between Ulysses and Penelope... this is something different, something beautiful that moves me to tears. And although there's scarcely anything written about them, comparing to the vast amount of information on other things, you can feel that it's something special.
All in all: an amazing read. And as always, can't wait to read the next book.

The book started out with the same feeling I got when reading the first 6 books and I loved it!!
There were a few low points: Anita was annoying in the beginning when Jason was trying to open the safe to get the keys, and Jason was annoying when trying to go and get answers by himself.
I hate the 3 boys that for some stupid reason hate the Covenant, they add nothing to the story.
I loved the rest, the finale makes me want to pick up the next book right now!!! I have read these books before but I dont remember how the story ends and I cant wait to find out again!

Ed ecco che nella mia rilettura della serie sono arrivata al decimo libro. Gli ultimi libri non li ho letti, e non ricordo neanche perché non ho continuato la serie. Ricordo che mi piacevano molto e anche adesso non sono affatto male.
Devo dire che la mia curiosità stava un po' scemando, come con tutte le serie lunghe, ma in questo libro Baccalario prende una strada inaspettata (questi libri li ho letti alle medie, ora sono all'Università, quindi capite che io non ricordo più un piffero).
Jason, Julia, Rick e Anita continuano la loro avventura, mentre Tommaso è rimasto diviso dal gruppo. Qualcuno sta tramando contro il gruppo de La Grande Estate e dei suoi "discendenti", se così possiamo chiamarli. E il traditore non viene affatto da fuori: è una serpe in seno a Kilmore Cove.
I fratelli Forbice e Voynich sembrano alleati dei ragazzi, ma lo sono davvero?
Hanno legato con fili di speranza
i tuoi occhi da marinaio e le tue giornate amare.
Ora è tempo di aprirli e lasciare la stanza
e che tu, capitano, riprenda il mare.
Per quanto riguarda la storia, l'ho trovata un po' più seria rispetto agli altri libri per alcuni particolari che non posso svelare (il libro è breve e sono spoiler). I ragazzi si dividono per cercare di scoprire cosa è successo a Kilmore Cove, inaspettatamente inondata. Jason si stacca completamente dal gruppo e va a cercare risposte ad Argathi, il Paese di Ghiaccio.
Per quanto riguarda i personaggi, la crescita maggiore è stata di Voynich, che si fa un bell'esame di coscienza e capisce che persona è davvero, ma il personaggio che ho preferito è stato Jason (come sempre!). Jason è infatti il più avventuroso del gruppo, quello che prende più rischi; e, senza le sue avventatezze e la sua curiosità, non penso che la storia andrebbe mai avanti. Anche quando altri personaggi gli sono contro (per esempio, Anita) io sono dalla parte di Jason. È vero che è un ragazzino che deve crescere ancora molto, ma non pensa solo a se stesso, anzi. E anche gli altri devono crescere, in generale.
Julia e Rick si devono mettere ufficialmente insieme e questo è quanto, anche se a me non piace molto il romance (etero... Scusatemi) e anche Anita e Jason, anche se Anita per certi versi mi sta piacendo meno degli altri.
Ulysses/Nestor conserva ancora molti segreti, e rimane scombussolato dal sapere che Penelope, la moglie creduta morta, è ancora viva. Che fine avrà fatto? Perché non torna da lui? Ah boh, spero che prima o poi lo scopriremo! A me Nestor fa molta pena, onestamente.
Per quanto riguarda Argathi, è un paese molto particolare con regole tutte sue. Mi sono piaciute le descrizioni di questo Paese Immaginario e spero di poterne vedere altri nei prossimi libri!
Nel complesso il libro mi è piaciuto molto: lo stile di Baccalario permette una lettura veloce e leggera. Anche i disegni alternati ad alcuni dei capitoli sono molto carini e aiutano ad immaginarsi i vari luoghi, anche se ce n'erano di meno rispetto agli altri volumi.

Jason, Anita, Julia dan Rick harus berpencar karena begitu banyak orang yang hilang, begitu banyak yang harus dilakukan dan ada kejutan tidak terduga dari salah seorang warga Kilmore Cove.
Jason mempertaruhkan segalanya demi mencari jawaban tentang pintu waktu. Deg-degan sekali melihat kelakuan Jason yang terlalu berani ini.
Ada bahaya yang mengancam Argo Manor padahal Nestor sedang galau-galaunya memikirkan sang istri.
Bukunya page turner dan tidak terlalu tebal, jadi bisa selesai sekali duduk.
At last, semoga buku berikutnya segera diterjemahkan. Endingnya gantung seperti biasa. 5 dari 5 bintang untuk Negeri Es, it was amazing.

Decimo libro: eventi drammatici e scelte difficili sono le caratteristiche di questo libro.
Non ho apprezzato come si è svolto l'incontro tra la madre di Anita e il traduttore: come fanno a chiamare la madre a casa del traduttore??
Le verità di Agarthi un po' banali ma la scelta di Jason per non dimenticare notevole.
Il capo degli incendiari e gli incendiari stessi invece rappresentano una piacevole sorpresa!
Decimo libro: eventi drammatici e scelte difficili sono le caratteristiche di questo libro.

One of the best books in the entire series for sure. So full of plot twists, reveals, suspense! A truly amazing experience to read this and it definately had me at the edge of my sit. I read the entire thing in almost a day, I could not get enough and I always wanted to know more. I can't wait to see how this whole story will end! Two more books! :)

I've been waiting years for a translated version of this book!
A continuation of the second premise and will open to a new sequence.
The children grow more incredible at solving problems and skills. Kinda feel upset with Jason but he's got a smart move here.

Again, still in awe in the story telling brilliance. This is more than a simple matter. Jason is visiting the Ice World of Agartha. The story is nearing the end and its about the bigger picture. Master-class plot with a satisfying sequences. Will reread this soon.

Ach ja... Het bekende verhaaltje ondertussen.
Opeens zijn de Incendiari niet echt meer van tel. De motieven van de nieuwe superslechterik zijn maar halfbakken. Er worden zoveel oude constanten over de boeg gesmeten. Tommaso vind ik maar niks. De veelbelovende plotlijn rond Fred Sluimer blijkt niks meer dan een afleidingsmaneuver te zijn. Dat hele ding met Penelope vind ik ook maar stom. En er zijn weer een paar rare vertaalslagen gemaakt zo te merken.
Er zijn nog goede zaken, maar ach, ondertussen heb ik al geen zin meer om daar nog over te praten.

It is one of the bests, very captivating and interesting, i love the crazy calm of jason when he faces a adventure and i seriously hope that Anita and jason star dating and that she dosen't dissappear from the books
