He's tall, dark and desperately trying to escape his past. She's petite, curvy and very annoyed after waiting in the hot sun by her broken-down car. When Gabriel pulls up on his motorcycle and takes off his helmet, Mariah takes one look at those piecing blue eyes and his long black hair and realizes that it's Lucifer and she's in big trouble. Outrunning his demons, Gabriel has no time to stop but as that devilish wind blows her prim skirt up, revealing the teeny thong and the black garter belt holding up the black stockings, his fate is sealed. And so is hers. Does a renegade like Gabriel deserve to find his heart? Mariah certainly thinks so and leads him on an erotic journey to show him how.
Although born in Ireland, Kaenar Langford lives north of Toronto in rural Ontario but that doesn't stop her from traveling the world in her mind and in her books. The love of romance and the exotic as well as a sense of humour are all entwined to produce stories that will seduce you and make you laugh.
Her husband and two sons have grown used to seeing only the back of her head as she is transported to wherever the writing takes her. She has become immune to the teasing of her colleagues who are delighted with her publication of Lucifer's Angel, her first novel.
Kaenar enjoys playing music and reading and has taken up the Scottish small pipes in the last few years. Of course, Irish music is what she loves to play.
Gracias a Dios ya lo terminé xD lo pude haber dejado pero pues no me agrada dejar libros empezados. Es simplemente un libro con una pareja de protagonista que se la pasa teniendo sexxx. Fin. jajaja nada más que contar.
An enjoyable book, but too many pages with not enough story. There were lots of sensual love scenes with varying costumes and locations, but I wanted more story out of this one.
Instant attraction, no common sense and slightly unbelievable fast tracked storyline. Lots of sex, not much story which is a pity as this could have been good.
I'm trying to think how to describe this book. It was super cheap when I bought it (.99)the characters are nice, but nothing really happens except the leads have a lot of sex. There is no drama, no mystery, no conflict. They pretty much fall in love and within 24 hours both are thinking they can picture a future together.
Gabriel stops at the side of the road to assist Mariah whose car has broken down. He's passing through town. Instant sexual attraction. He gives her a ride home and they have sex immediately and constantly for the next 24 hours. Within that time, he tell her he is a Chicago cop taking some downtime after the death of his partner. By the time morning comes, she's helped him move on and he's invited her to go with him to Chicago the next weekend to visit his partners widow and baby.
Within 48 hours he's met her brother, the local sheriff and gone on a stakeout and identified a drug smuggler. They call in the feds and take the drug smuggler with no drama.
They continue to have sex pretty much non-stop.
Gabriel is pretty much perfect. Loves everything about her, can get it up in an instant and brings out the sex kitten in her. (Why is it that a heroine is described as not very experienced she becomes an instant Kama Sutra sex master as soon as she hooks up with the H? but, I digress). Everyone who has ever met him loves(men, women children animals ;) him but he hasn't known what it is to love until Mariah.
The dialogue was pretty cheesy and the story seemed repetitive, I like hot sex in a book but they went at it so much it was hard to feel the passion. They would think things in their heads, like how the sex made them feel or different and all kinds of euphemisms etc... (you know like, "I can't tell where you end and I begin") but then they would talk about what they were thinking like they were anylizing each sexual encounter.
By the time an entire week is up, he's leaving his job in Chicago to start his own business in Texas and proposing with a custom make ring.
I'm still giving it 3 stars because I grew to like Gabriel and Mariah but I don't think I'd give this author another go unless it was free.
While I understand that the fantasy of stranger sex is out there, it has to make some logical sense to me too... I don't know a single person who would hop on a Harley with a complete stranger rather than asking to borrow a cell phone, or perhaps exchange names? I made it to page 40 before giving up entirely. Sorry, Ms. Langford. I believe Ellora's Cave owes you an apology for not doing a better job of guiding and editing.
