Resurrection. A secret society. Not everyone can join, just the elite few who remember their past lives. Only the Seer knows if those memories are truth or fabrication. There’s just one problem. The new Seer is missing in action. War-N-Wit’s new assignment is a blast from the past! But whose past? Chad and Ariel Garrett held me spellbound in the first of the War N Wit series, The Witch. There's never a dull moment with those two around. Throw in a cunning con artist/evil figure from the past and Ms Roughton does it again. In Resurrection, their adventure continues. A must read. Book 2 in the War 'N' Wit Series, which is an accounting of this team's first "job" together -- well, actually, their second. Do read Book 1 first (The Witch) which sets up the relationship between the Warlock and the Witch and offers a really fast-moving and fun story with believable characters -- and some action, too. There will be no doubt that these two will be an incredible team. Books 1 & 2 are lively, fast-paced, and contain witty and snappy dialogue throughout. Even the cat has an intriguing personality. The chemistry between characters is truly electric! I've never read anything in this genre before, but I love this series. On to Book 3, The Coven. Very well-edited.
3.5 stars - Review to come, but... I read straight through this book after reading the first (both were Kindle freebies for me) and I'd have bought the third and continued on if it had been out yet - hopefully it's coming soon. I like the pairing - who doesn't love a 'magic man'- and look forward to further adventures of bounty hunting warlock Chad and his newbie witch partner Ariel. Looks like Ariel's ghost-whispering sister and Chad's biker pediatrician buddy might have bigger roles in the next book.
Book two in the series and I enjoyed it just as much. New characters come in but the old ones are still around and this entry into the series doesn't disappoint. Highly recommend to lovers of romantic suspense with a touch of magic!
this is actually a continuation of the first book, not really a book with only ninety five pages. Only the last two chapters are interesting and tells the actual story. Best part of the story is Micah
An awesome second book in the series. You can't help but love Ariel's kick butt attitude and her dialogue with Magic Man is hilarious. Love the characters and love the action.
