New Adult Paranormal Romance by bestselling author Kristie Cook ** Mature Content ** Recommended for ages 16+ due to sexual situations and language

Power, the next installment of the Soul Savers Series, takes you on a hot and edgy ride with twists and turns you'll never see coming, leaving you breathless and once again begging for more.

As the stakes rise, can she find her true power?

As the Amadis prepare for war, Alexis returns to Florida with orders to relax, regenerate and replenish her depleted power. But her task list quickly grows--establish a new safe house, learn the art of conversion, find her AWOL protector, help a desperate fan, and protect her son. Oh, and figure out what's going on with her husband, whose peculiar behavior just might get them killed.

But most important of all, her primary mission: recover her stolen pendant.

The stone in the pendant not only promises hope for the Amadis future, but its unknown qualities make it a possible weapon in the wrong hands. With guidance and power from an improbable source and an unlikely ally by her side, Alexis sets out to retrieve the stone before the enemy discovers its potential for mass destruction. But when she finds herself in the Daemoni's lair fighting for her life, all hope seems lost. Will she discover the true power she holds in time? And is it enough to save herself, her family and the Amadis?

I hate cliffhangers! No, I LOATHE cliffhangers! The fourth installment in the Soul Savers series was AMAZING! In the last book and much of this book I felt a disconnection with Alexis and Tristan but besides that the story was great. Vannessa became more important in this book and even though I was skeptical, I loved her by the end. I think she will be a great ally, friend, and sister to Alexis just when Alexis is going to need it the most. The ending is killing me right now and poor Sasha! It made me almost cry! If you have read any of the books in this series then you know that they are amazing and this one didn't disappoint! I'm am currently counting the days until the release of the next one. :)

(Oh, and the sex scene in this one was steamy.)!!! =)

I love the Vanessa story line, the fae yay may ha ha, traitors in the midst, new recruits from the other side. Poor Sasha.... And back again to the ending what an ending!! I cant wait for the next book. I was up till about 3am reading and I could'nt put it down. Thank you Kristie for these characters and stories I am totally hooked. OK...I have now read all 4 books of the series so far...and WOW!! I'm completely freaking blown away!! Kristie is one amazing writer/story teller! She combines all of the right elements into this series while not overdoing it. And the characters!!! Don't get me started on the characters! I freaking love Tristan!<3 And Alexis is the perfect narrator! She's strong, brave, powerful, a "princess", reckless, daring, courageous, a wife, a mother, and a lover...to make the list short. As the series progresses she learns all these new things and her character develops in such a beautiful way. This series is AMAZING, wonderful, awesome, and overall just additicting!:D But the ending on Power is... :O ...! Why must she end it that way?! Kill me now! The wait for the 5th book is going to take forever!!! Well...here's to Spring 2013...tick...tock...!

Excellent!!! Seriously considered petitioning Goodreads for a six-star review....
But then, hey, wait a minute. What's the deal with the epilogue??? This is seriously where the book ended? Seriously? And the next book is due Spring 2013? OH MY GOD!! I'm dying here Kristie...

But to go back to my review, I loved the twist with Vanessa. And the one with Owen. And with Sonya. And Cassandra. And Tristan. But since I love Tristan all the FREAKING time that wasn't a surprise.

So, if you have read all the previous books, pick this one right NOW. Stop reading ths review and go buy it NOW!!!!

My review:

Power by Kristie Cook is an engrossing fourth installment in Soul Savers series. It is written with passion for the characters and for the story, and you can feel that passion because the story takes over and captures you until the very last page. There is love, there is hatred, there is grief and loss and the excellence of Kristie’s writing is exactly hidden in the ability of capturing the reader and not letting you go. You realize that she has put her soul into it and I love that I as a reader can feel it.

Plot:

The fourth book, Power, picks up where Devotion finished. Alexis needs to find the lost pendant; pendant which is crucial for the survival of Amadis. The pendant also quickly becomes a key for the survival of love between Alexis and Tristan. With the whole world on her shoulders, Alexis sets her goal to the pendant and save everything which is dear to her - her husband, her son and the Amadis.

I had no idea how suitable the title Power was in this book. it was right on spot, because the story circles around the power. Alexis path finding her true power and the power of trust are the key topics in the novel. It's about Alexis starting believing in herself and what's even more important to have some faith in her power. It's a long and twisted road for Alexis and also for Tristan.

I was curious to see, where the author leads Alexis and Tristan and I was taken by surprise. Their relationship is not only challenged, their whole world is. Their trust towards each other and to the people around them was also a huge part of Power.

When the last page of Power was turned, I wanted to scream out loud. Seriously. The ending of the book was so shaking, so strong and so heartbreaking and it's one of the hardest cliffhangers to read ever. My heart was bleeding for Alexis and Tristan and most of all for Dorian.

Characters:

Even though Alexis is the heroin of the series, I think Power is book about Alexis. It's where her growth is biggest, she grows stronger as a person and matures heavily due to circumstances. All the other characters are present, but Alexis simply sparks and shines more. It's also understandable because of the story development, you see how Alexis becomes what she is destined to do - being the daughter of Amadis.

Tristan was little more in the background, but of course had an important role to play. I think the author did that on purpose, that Tristan's role had to be tuned down compared to Alexis. There were actually parts of the book where I thought, this is not the Tristan I am used to see, but it was how it was supposed to be. You'll understand when you read the book.

I missed Owen or I should actually say, that I missed "the old" Owen. Owen is darker, more tormented in Power and gone are his quirky fun comments and behaviour. He is changed man with questionable actions.

Kristie did an excellent thing with the supportive characters in Power. At the end of Devotion she brought in several new supportive characters and their stories are folding out in Power. You learn more about them and you get few surprises and twists and turns about the faith of the characters. New friendships are created and old ones betrayed. Brilliant!

Generally:

When I finished Power, I was again awed; awed about the writing style which Kristie masterfully develops with each book, awed about the exquisite story development and awed about the finesse Kristie brushes the images of her characters. It’s art. It really is.

5 stars.

After devouring the first three books in The Soul Savers series I was incredibly pumped for the fourth! Unfortunately, I felt a little let down after reading Power. On the positive side- I always enjoy the Tristan/Alexis love scenes (so hot!). I was very pleased with the outcome of the trip "down under". I just wished Tristan & Alexis could've tested it's power at the end of the book! lol And although it's not the ideal situation & the whole thing made me mad at times, I'm okay with the Vanessa/Alexis relationship.

But... I found the first part of the book to be slow. Sonya's story/healing process did not really interest me, Owen threw me for a loop & when Vanessa first came into the picture... aargh! It's a good thing the Amadis are such forgiving & loving people- especially Alexis. The Cassandra parts tricked me because I couldn't tell if that was really her or if someone was using magic to trick Alexis herself- it just seemed too good to be true. I also felt bad that Tristan was once again not in control of his body. Let's hope the next installment gives him a little more "power"! :)

Looking forward to the next book because we were left with quite the cliffhanger! Let's test the power of the stone already!!

Sweet! Look what I found available early! Can't wait to start!

This was a great 4th book to the series. I was hoping for a conclusion but I guess there is one more. This one has a few surprises as Tristan and Alexis are still trying to get Tristan's fairy stone back. A few things that you suspect is what's wrong during the story, that come true, and then some things with Owen that may surprise you. i am still hoping for the best with Owen, especially after the ending. And there are surprises with Alexis's enemy, Vanessa, that stole the necklace in the first place.

Great book overall, and I recommend for adults.

First off... I'm still SO very glad that there is not a love triangle in this series. Thank YOU!!! I really really enjoy the issues that Tristan and Lexi have to go through, soul mates or not. Makes them normal to me I guess. I do get a little annoyed when Lexi still has "moral issues" with her powers... but that might be me being jealous that I can't read peoples minds :) I wouldn't have an issue "spying". :)

Anyway, like the stars say, I LOVE this series... I cannot wait for the next book.

Power packs a punch as the Soul Saviors continues in this fourth installment.

The time has come to leave the Amadis Island. Alexis is ordered to try and relax to gain her strength, however she does not like to sit still. She buys a mansion to turn into a new safe house and has help to prepare it. Alexis is getting restless, feeling the over powering urge to try to find the pendant she so desperately needs to continue the Amadis daughters.

When Alexis gets a lead on where Vanessa night be, her and Tristan take off to see what they can find. And boy did they find something they were not expecting.

Okay, stop right there. I SO want to write an empowering synopsis of this book but as I sit here, I am finding it completely difficult to be spoiler free. There is so much action in this story, twists and turns that I totally did not see coming, I do not want to reveal anything that would spoil this spell binding story for anyone. Fans of this series will completely devour this book for all its creative plots and unexpected twists. Alexis’ character grows stronger as she becomes more confident in herself. Tristan’s love for Alexis proves how love can totally conquer and kick some booty. Favorite characters return to support Alexis and Owen will completely surprise you. Did I mention the “You Have Got to Be Kidding Me” moments? Power sure shows Kristie’s creative imagination. The story flows with ease even with the insane emotional connection. And, WOW, what a cliffhanger of an ending! As this series intensifies with each book, the anticipation for the next installment is going to be complete torture. The only plus side to that is that I have time to read the whole series OVER again!

Unfortunately, I only have a “five” book review scale. Power makes me want to reevaluate that.

following on from the exposure of the traitor and Tristans trial, Alexis & Tristan return to florida, to search for Alexis's pendant, which is a priority now that they know its purpose. There are more twists and turns that I didnt see coming. We find out more about Vanessa's back story, and all the time Im rooting for Alexis and Tristan to make it through the next crisis that engulfs them. I read all the books in a week, and have become engrossed in them, leaving me lost now that I have finished. Cant wait for the next instalment, I hope Kristie Cook has lots more material for Alexis and Tristan as I love these stories

I've been waiting to find out what Alexis and Tristan have been up to and was very excited to finally get to read Power. It's so good! I don't want to spoil anything, but there's this one scene in the middle of the book...Wow! You'll know what I'm talking about when you read it. Kristie is so great at painting images in her readers' minds, you're just going to love it. If you haven't read her novella, Genesis: A Soul Savers Novella, you really should. I won't say why since I don't like to spoil, but trust me, you should!

Kristie Cook has done it again, Power is another book you can't put down. After the attack on Amadis Island, Alexis and Tristin think they can finally start to enjoy life. Unfortunatly with Tristins angel stone with Vanessa, they cannot just relax. They have to find the stone in order to have the daughter they need for the Amadis to continue. Along the journey the most unexpected friendships are made and aliases are put to the test. The cliff hanger is killer in his one. I can't wait for the next book!

I am a huge fan of the series, and this book did not disappoint! Non stop action from start to finish, and it kept you guessing. When you thought that you knew where the story was going, it would swing in a completely different direction. There were some revelations and I found myself rooting for someone that I never thought I would root for! I loved this book and I can't wait for the next one to come out!

Kristine did it again!! I loved this book! The Vanessa situation was awesome! If I had to choose a down fall to these books is....(don't read if you don't want a spoiler) is how our fierce warrior Tristan is always needing to be "saved". However, the way it was done in this book was beautifully written in way that made me yearn to see what happened! You will be dying for book 5 after this one. She is leaving us with two cliffhangers!! 2!!

YET AGAIN another Fantastic read from Kristie Cook. There were parts that were so heartwarming and sincere, as well as moments where I caught myself holding my breath in complete suspence. As the fourth installment to this series I found this book really amazing! I found it made me laugh out loud, tear up at times and even feel some resentment towards some of the characters.

TERRIFFIC and i can't wait for spring 2013 for the newest and fifth book!!!

Kristie, you did it AGAIN!!! Another THRILLING, SWOONWORTHY story! I had so many moments of heartbreak thinking/wondering what the heck our Owen was doing. I have no idea, but now I get what you said when you mentioned that Owen would have some hard times ahead. Poor guy! Send him my way for some much needed R&R :P
