Tony Ames, a freshman art student battles depression as he struggles to overcome the pressures of college and loneliness. But when fellow student Melody Anderson asks him to pose for her final project--nude--things take a decided turn for the better. Complicating matters, however, is Tony's racquetball mentor, the former model Lissa Grant. The three dance a delicate and erotic dance with each other as Tony opens the door to new life experiences.
It's rare to find an author that can seamlessly weave day to day activities and erotica, but Devon Layne does it flawlessly. The characters are real, fully fleshed out people in whom we quickly become invested. It's obvious that he does his research as the details about both the modeling and racquetball story lines ring true.
The depth of passion the reader feels while Tony is painting the mural is intense. I often wonder how writers can provide such incite without having the actual experience. Devon does.
