Nancy Would And The Tree That Could . . . takes a poetic form emphasizing an oft cast theme of triumph. The central character, or rather personality, is a lonely, compassionate, powerless girl who discovers a simple method of channeling the power of healing. One poem reveals the power is universally potent, healing both threatening and non-threating victims of woe.

The pennyless, powerless, and least among the story characters becomes significant to the community as she shares her discovery. Acceptance by the community is found through sharing the gift of healing.
