Rate this book
This book consists of three principal (1) an introduction to insurance in general and to the life and health sectors in particular; (2) a section on life insurance and annuities, comprising roughly half of the text and including discussions of both individual and group insurance; and (3) an admirably up-to-the-minute treatment of health insurance. The focus in the latter two sections is mainly on the distinguishing characteristics of different types of coverage.

As far as textbooks about insurance go, this one is actually tolerable.

The lessons are easy to understand and they explain each section in enough detail to take the LOMA course at the end.

A very comphrehensive book if you are looking for a introductory course; the subject is not deep thru though.

Still trying to find a intermediate text on life...
