Tomb of Atlantis
Young Jack Roberts is an adventurer. While flying up through the Caribbean many years ago, he spotted what he believed was a golden artifact resting on the ocean’s floor. Without the resources to investigate further, he snapped some photos and flew home.
Years later, he makes a startling discovery. While watching an interview on TV, he sees an exact duplicate of the symbol he photographed now displayed on a set of ancient tablets reported to be 7,000 years old. With his curiosity piqued, he knows he must return.
Jack’s new adventure leads him back to the Caribbean Sea in search of the golden artifact. While diving, he finds other ancient relics that point to the first real evidence of Atlantis. Excited and energized, he returns to the dive zone once more.
Tragedy strikes and Jack is now forced to fight for his life. Violent storms and vicious predators force him beyond even his own endurance as he clings to an improvised raft, driven not just to survive, but to solve the 7,000-year-old mystery of Atlantis.

Christopher David Petersen
28 books738 followersChristopher David Petersen (1963 – 20??). Born and raised in Connecticut. As a child, I was always daring and reckless. Never one to let common sense stand in the way of a great adventure, my bold feats of stupidity were legendary… Huckleberry Finn would have been proud.
“Surprisingly”, that same spirit carried over into adulthood, as I sought out entertainment that included: scuba diving; ski Mountaineering; mountain biking; Rock, Ice and Mountain climbing; flying planes; golf, motorcycles, the stock market and of course, experimentation with various alcoholic refreshments.
Later in life, writing became an extension of my deep desire to experience “new and exciting worlds”. I have written several books, but none have been published through any formal channels… I’ve heard the process is long, painful and laborious, the thought of which sickens me. My foray into e-publishing came after a friend suggested my works could fetch dollars instead of dust inside my sock drawer… a righteous observation. My recent publications are the result of this advice.
An Engineer by trade and Writer by passion, I have worked all over the U.S. and usually write in my spare time… that is when I’m not enjoying a bottle of Scotch and a quality cigar. I am a naturally long-winded individual, so writing is what happens when I can’t get anyone to listen to me anymore…
I love all kinds of genres but gravitate more towards suspense. There is nothing like the build up to a great climax… What a rush!
With my new discovery in self-publishing, I have become focused and more determined to produce far greater works. Further adventure/suspense novels are soon to be released.

A gripping adventure.
I can’t help it; I’m a Christopher David Petersen addict. Combine this with the return of Jack Roberts of Destination B fame (Now renamed Hidden Courage (Atlantis) to coincide with the other books in the ‘Jack Roberts’ series.) and I couldn’t resist reading this book.
The author has a superb knack of drawing the reader into his adventures, and this is no exception. This story leads from a small reference in the first book that galvanises Jack into action and trouble. Returning to retrace his original route back from South America, our hero is trying to prove to a leading archaeologist that he spotted an ancient object beneath the sea.
Against all the odds, Jack finds himself fighting for his own survival against the cruel and unremitting elements as he battles to stay alive as the capricious nature of the sea threatens to overwhelm him.
Although the book as a whole is very well written, the final third is outstanding. The sense of isolation and helplessness is beautifully described as the sea seems it will inevitably claim another victim.
Make sure you leave time to read this book as you’ll not want to put it down until you’ve finished it.

What a terrific series this is turning out to be. With introduction of several new characters, Jack returns to the place where he saw the golden pyramid. Disaster strikes and ths becomes a story of survival against Mother Natures worst elements, I felt I was there with Jack all the way. Leads nicely into the third book in the series. I'm really looking forward to that. Well written with great knowledge and understanding of the sudjects.

I was an advanced reader of this wonderful book. It is action and adventure filled with a great hero who fights valiantly.
I immensely enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to anyone interested in a engrossing adventure tale.

Tomb of Atlantis is everything I love about adventure fiction-mystery, danger, and a touch of historical wonder. Christopher David Petersen captures the thrill of discovery so vividly that I felt like I was diving alongside Jack Roberts. The blend of ancient legend and modern exploration is beautifully balanced. I highly recommend this to readers who enjoyed Indiana Jones or Clive Cussler’s books. It’s smart, gripping, and filled with heart. Writers of adventure fiction could learn a lot from Petersen’s pacing and world-building.

A grudging 2 stars for a confused, lackluster "adventure" novel. The main character can be summed up in 3 words - what an idiot. Completely ill equiped for the task at hand he continually exhibited poor judgement that bordered on stupidity. Flying his homemade plane he regularly demostrates just how out of his depth he is. Then diving alone not just once but repeatedly, I'd say he was begging for what he got. His time on the raft was interesting but overlong to the point that I found myself regularly rooting for the sea creatures and the storms. The writing was clumsy and I thought I would scream I'd one more character "blurted" out another word. The story held promise but just a small amount. Two stars for the good parts which were few but I cannot recommend this book and will not be reading the rest in the series. Too bad as I'm looking for a good adventure at the moment.

Not the story of an ancient tomb.
If this author had chosen a title that indicated this book would be about the details of flying a hand made plane, or the details and folly of diving alone, or even the details of trying to survive an angry sea alone, I would most likely given it a higher rating. But the subject of the title doesn't start to be revealed until 82% of the book has dragged
by. Since I was looking for an archeological mystery/thriller, all the details that, to me, did not advance the plot seemed interminable. I suspect that the next book in the series will be more on point, but it will be a while before I read it.

This the first time I have read this author's book and found it interesting, fast paced, but not very exciting. I hope the next one in the series will have more excitement and adventure.

A nice interesting read this 2nd in the trilogy and building nicely to the last book. Look forward to reading this shortly.
