Basically, the story is set on this world with the difference that among us exist the shape shifters: the werewolves. And they’re like us, and live around the world in different countries, cities & counties, I guess given we’re about to find more than just one single pack in this series…therefore that we’ll find more than just one sexy hot Alpha, girls
So now, given that I’ve read 4 books of this series already…I’ll try to make these revs short and synthetized…’cause really? they all have pretty similar charactheristics on their plots, but also explore different human relationship issues in order , for our lovely couple, to have their very unique HEA
Also the author starts & ends with tiny messages about the human issue we’re about to get into in each book… and let me tell you she writes beautifully

Controlled Curves, the first short story in the Alpha Doms series, is about a werewolf by the name of Maryk. He sought out the alpha in a fight to the death to not only take over the pack but for the right to be with his mate. Suren is the only plus size werewolf in the pack. Painfully aware of her differences between herself and the other sleek shifters, she’s found herself insecure and self conscious of herself. As the story progresses, we find Suren being quite headstrong in her own right and doesn’t mind defying Maryk at first. The question that crossed my mind as I read this short was would Suren finally get over her insecurities and become Maryk’s mate? Or would she continue to defy him at every turn?
Even as this story unfolded, I was hoping that Christin would follow up and make this either a full length novel or at the very least a novella. Maryk and Suren are well developed in their personalities and the way they do things. Yet at the same time, I would absolutely LOVE to see more of them. I found myself wanting to know what made them tick; what was their lives like before they were introduced to each other. What happens down the line with the entire pack situation. This is a very quick read that shouldn’t take more than an hour to an hour and a half at best to read from start to finish. Some who are more fast readers can finish it in less time. I would suggest this story to anyone who likes the Dominant/submissive aspect with a little BDSM thrown into the mix as well as anyone who would like to get a taste of the paranormal aspects of storytelling in the werewolf setting.

I found this series while going to see if Christin had released any more books in her YA series. This series is 100% not YA, so if you are wanting something like that series, this is not for you. It is however a short and very sweet love story that is wrapped up in some pretty heated scenes. I am sure most people will see it more as the hot sexy scenes than the love story, but I found it to be more about their connections with one another. I adore that everything Christin writes has one sexy full figured gal, even if they are a secondary character. In this story, that character is front and center. If you are looking for a short, very hot read with an hea love story, this may be just your thing. Oh and it has shifters. Nothing better than shifters ;).

Intriguing enough to get me to read out of my usual genre, this short story turned out to be one long sex scene with no before and no after. I liked that the woman wasn't the typical (thin) heroine. The scene was well written without any editing errors that I remember. In the end though, this just isn't my cup of tea anymore.

My only complaint with this book is that it is too short. we follow a plus size wolf and her meeting with the new Alpha who happens to be her mate .great hot sexy read can't wait for more of their story.

Hot steamy quickie
Pretty good little novella. Wish there was more of story line and not just all sex but it was well written and the sex scenes were written very well without going over the top.

I enjoyed this story. It was a fun, fast read. I wish that it was a little longer but it is a good read. It is very sexy and hot.

This is a short story not long enough to be a novella but what it lacks in length it more than makes up in story and character development. This story is indeed an erotic interlude of the meeting of Suren, a plus size female wereworld, on the day that she meets her mate sexy alpha werewolf Maryk.
For Maryk it was love at first scent and sight. He noticed her with her pack and immediately challenges and kills the leader of her pack for the right to claim her as his. Suren had never been claimed before. In her human form she is a plus size overweight who felt that because if her size she would never mate. So there was an insecurity factor that came into play on her end.
Nudity in the pack is consider normal when transitioning from werewolf form to human. She was uncomfortable with it around her new sexy alpha leader. As a result she hesitantly defied a direct order given to her by her alpha.
Mark consider her defiance as a means of given her the delicious spanking she is so deserving of to make her his. The rest of the story is extremely erotic yet also affectionate how his lust for her transitioned to love. It is deeply touching and heartfelt.

Loved this book and this series as a whole. And I enjoyed the paranormal aspect included in each novel. As a whole this series is about being comfortable in your own skin. Weather your extra curvy or your boat floats a different way no matter who you are you deserve to be happy and find love and that's what these stories are all about. With a slew of hunky alpha males who were willing to help each heroine see the true beauty in themselves. I loved this series as a whole and how each story had a different way each alpha was able to show their mate that they were beautiful not in spite of but because of their curves. "The definition of beauty is different to everyone, just as our ideas of perfection are different" (Two times the Charm) Some of these heroines were afraid to allow themselves to think that someone could love them as they were and I loved how the alpha's were able to reassure their mates of their worth and learn how to be happy with themselves without fear. "Fear never encourages freedom; it supports oppression. It is those that live with no fear that achieve the most." (Two Times the Charm)

Controlled Curves definitely showed the more animistic side of Werewolves. Most books/stories you read about werewolves area all about how human they can be. How underneath the fur they have the heart of a human. This story was nothing like that. I was all about how an Alpha were would take his mate and make her his, whether she liked it or not. Just lucky in this case, she liked. it.
Overall I was fairly unimpressed with this story and thought it had the potential to be so much better. 2.5/5 stars.

It's very short, but I guess quite hot. I got this as part of a set of 12 Christin Lovell books for £3 while I was waiting for a workman to come so I'll be reviewing several, this wasn't the worst. I'd class them as vignettes of erotica. Short snippets of sex with larger ladies and alpha wolves - don't be mislead by the fact they are part of a series - they do'nt actually have any connection so far as I can tell other than similar plots. No connecting characters or places.

An extremely short story.
reasons why I love the story: Plus sized Suren lives among the slim and sleek. The only full sized werewolf in her pack, she has very little self-confidence, and when the new Alpha, Maryk, gives his orders, she is too shy to comply. Her insecurities continue, even though she knows he's her mate. Join them as he breaks down her self-imposed walls to win her over.
what I didn't like: This was super short. I would have like to have had it taken a bit further, but then again, perhaps the idea was to have a part 2...

This is a quick read about and Alpha who has found his mate however due to her body issues she is not sure he is not just playing with her to assert his status in the pack. Suren wants to believe that Maryk wants her but even though her pack is ok with her size it does not mean everyone will be. This is a great quick read about love, dominance, and acceptance.

Okayyyyy! Nothing like Future Alphas, this got straight to hot and steamy point. Very short story. Wish we could gotten the packs response, but oh well. Hopefully the next one has little more story. But I am still a fan.

I can honestly say i feel cheated. I recently read the authors future alphas series and loved it so when i saw this series i imediatly purchased this book, it was a glorified sex scene, that was it, no real story and it took me 20 minutes to read, very dissapointed, i wanted a story not one scene.

This is my first book by Christin Lovell and I can honestly say that this book wont be my last. This book is very well written and the characters are very well developed. This book is a fast read and one that I know I will be able to read again and again.

This wasn't what i thought I was going to read about at all. I enjoyed the author's concepts in the Vampeen series and thought she'd branched out to here. Think along the lines of 50 Shades...

I think the super-short story with a BBW is just not my thing. There isn't enough time to develop the characters and get some good angst going. Not bad, just not what I'm looking for.
