This is a great book for kids who enjoy all things Power Rangers -- especially the original seasons. Author Bill McCay nicely adapts the episode "Food Fight" into a short story and manages to get the entire plot in there without sacrificing any detail. He does make a couple of errors, though, ie. calling the Power Blaster a Power Gun, so that was a little disheartening. The color pictures included were not all from the "Food Fight" episode either, but that was more comical than anything and I'm sure it had to do with licensing issues. The pictures got the point across of the story, so that's all that matters, especially to kids!

All in all, it was a fun, light read and a great way for kids to get introduced to the Power Rangers. Or in my case, take a trip down memory lane.

So, I was cleaning out my attic and came across this book with a lot of my old Power Ranger toys.

Given I'm 28 now, I was not expecting it to be a very difficult read.

Was it? Heck no.

For me, this book was a stroll down memory lane. It's a quick little read and the reason why it took me three days to read it was because I was reading it in ten minute little bursts.

I remember the episode this book is based off of. Did it capture the show? I'd say so.

This book is something I would recommend to a kid of five or so or someone like me who grew up with the Power Rangers and wanted to just remember it.
