Although I was born in the late 50's, Pop music of any kind was forbidden, therefore I was unfamiliar with many of the musical bands & artists mentioned in this biography. This made reading the book less entertaining. It is always good to read the life of a musician, being a musician myself and it was still a good read.

A functional and fairly boring account of Weller's life that certainly covers all the bases but lacks any real spark.

It's good for those who want to know as much as they can on the factual side of things, but there's little on the man himself, or how he ticks.

For that you are better off going to Paul Weller: The Changing Man, by Paolo Hewitt.

A good read. I enjoy Weller's music but didn't know much about him. This was a good biography though a little glowing as it was written by a fan.

I need to read this again to give it a fair review, but I remember enjoying it very much at the time.
