A spiritual travel in search of Islam.or not really.more likely an anthropologist that love the culture of Arab and dare i say guided to Islam by higher power. From Texas to Saudi Arabia with Al-Murrah Bedouin back to Texas and then Egypt. This book pretty simple.no exaggerated detail but maybe too simple.author just stressed out a few issues but worthy one although i would love to read more about his anthropology journey since i never read a book from their profession world view.and this is the first time i read something called Arabic clock.i mean every Muslim aware that according to Islam our new day start from sunset especially in this month but Saudi Arabia have a clock?wow.but truth be told,i'm pretty disturbed with his view toward Muhammad Abdul Wahab but nonetheless author convert to Islam because of the "Salafi" so i cant argue much there.i guess go with the flow.To quote Sheikh Hamza Yusof Islam in diverse,as long as they believe in Allah and Muhammad so no problem. This book kicked my heart about anthropology.I'm going to read something about them.a study of social and culture.sound cool and better than socioeconomy.
