How weird. I read the first and now, the third book of this series. I guess these two appealed to me the most. Anna Stone, you're amazing!
Don't let the ominous tone of the blurb (or my shelves) scare you--this is very fluffy book and I'm here for it! It's absolutely sexy. Very, very sexy, but the angst isn't dragged out nor a prominent part of the story. It's almost has a fairy tale-like feeling near the end, what with the wealth and opportunities left for Lindsey's character.
I was kind of wary of the escort/straight girl thing, but Stone doesn't torture us. It's a love story. The light BDSM and dom/sub dynamic add texture and sensuality. I like how it mentioned the dom/sub thing is more than sex. Never read that perspective before.
I now get a shiver when I think of the name 'Mistress'. Camilla, you can boss me around. Please.
Now, I crave more books with mild kink like these.
Seriously.
I want more.
I guess I'm not as vanilla as I'd thought...
4.5 stars because I needed an easygoing bit of sexy to break up my sucky week. And because Camilla's so hot.
Another great book by Anna Stone! Two great MCs in Ms-total-control-freak Camilla and Ms-not-so-straight Lindsey. I liked the sugar-mama theme and the sex scenes are just hot with a touch of BDSM.
This was a quick and easy read—I finished it cover to cover in just over three hours without any interruptions. You can definitely tell it’s one of Anna Stone’s earlier works; it doesn’t quite have the delicious slow burn and intense angst she’s known for in her more recent books. That said, if you’re looking for a low-angst, sweet BDSM sapphic romance, this one definitely delivers. Camilla and Lindsey are both likable MCs, with great communication and a satisfying, heartwarming HEA.
This is the third book in the series irresistibly bound. I think this one have more bdsm elements than other two books. Lindsay(23) become a sugarbaby to Camilla(39)because Lindsay doesn't have the money to pay for her medical bills. Camilla is a dom and Lindsay is a sub and Lindsay is straight, well..not for so long. Both characters are likable and have good chemistry and there are really hot sex scenes. Like last two books there is a little breakup scene which was predictable but it resolved quickly. Both Vanessa-Melanie and Victoria-April make appearances. Overall, I enjoyed it.
And here we go again, Anna Stone gets straight to my heart. That was amazing, still my favorite is Her Surrender, but this was great too. I loved the plot, Camilla is incredibly sexy, and a totally control freak, but she has an amazing heart. First I thought the age would be an issue, but Lindsey seems very mature after all. I think the book could be longer, like explore more Lindsey life besides her life with Camilla, it felt a little rush, but Anna Stone is still my favorite author and I can't wait to read more of this series.
Great story again, I would say it was a little more light than the previous two in the serie. Loved it and the key word here is spaghetti, yup not so straight :)
DNF. I find myself being a bit of an outlier these days. Anna Stones novels seem to be incredibly popular, yet, after reading a few of them, I find myself feeling very "ho-hum" as I turn through the pages.
Don't get me wrong, I was pretty enthusiastic when I read the first novel. The second wasn't great (also DNF) but I was okay with her third novel, Her Surrender (IB#2.) However, as I read through this one I came to the realization that there is nothing extraordinarily different about her books to make one stand out from another.
They generally seem to involve a wealthy woman who needs a sub for some bdsm light. There is going to be some minor conflict that I won't care about because the characters don't really jump off the page. Which is probably where my biggest issue with her writing. Each of her characters seems to be cut from a similar mold as the one before. This makes them all somewhat indistinguishable.
Perhaps I'd be more inclined to forgive the lack of characterization if the sex scenes were stellar. But, imho, those are only so-so. I mentioned earlier that this is bdsm light. What I mean by this is what I would consider entry level bdsm erotica. Nothing too explicit or shocking. Additionally, the sex scenes are a bit on the tamer side as well. On a scale of 1 to Meghan O'Brien, I'd maybe give this a 4 on the smut scale.
I didn't finish this novel because I wasn't connecting emotionally to either character and there were other things to read. The writing was fine, however. No complaints there. As I said earlier, I seem to be in the minority concerning this author's books. So, if you have Kindle Unlimited, then I suggest giving her a shot. You may connect better with her writing than I have.
I'm always so captivated by Anna Stones writing. I have read all her books and this one is by far my favorite. I love the universe that Anna has created for the world of BDSM there's not many good Lesfic BDSM out there...so I praise Anna Stone!
It's equal parts steamy & romantic with a slight added bonus of fluff 💜
In this one you get Lindsey who has racked up quiet the medical debt from her car accident...her friend suggested she join a sugar baby website and she got accepted. But what do you do when you believe you've always been straight and the only interesting hit was a female named Camilla who is exactly what you want in someone. Most intriguing thing about her -she's a DOM!
Camilla comes from money and all she wants is a companion of sorts bonus if they are submissive...she has some secretes of her own pretaining to her health so she doesn't get close to many people. What happens when your perfect someone moves in to your mansion for 3 months and learns your secrets but is hiding her own. She isn't even into woman. Was everything a lie or was it something more.
We also get to peak inside the life's of our Favorite Vanessa and Mel from book one along with Vicki and April from book two !

4**** for the writing. 2** for the plot 1* for how the Dominant/ Submissive makes me feel
Stumbled over this on KU Discover and thought, why not. The whole book has a sort of BDSM thing going on. I am really not a fan of that, and usually avoid it in books. As always, totally subjective rating. I can now happily avoid every other book with that theme. And, should that need saying, I am happy for every single other person in the world to enjoy this book and its theme. To each their own :-)
3.5 Stars - a fluffy, BDSM romance? Why yes. This works for me as I usually avoid BDSM as I usually find the power dynamics icky, but it's handled in such a way that it doesn't feel degrading to me. Also throw in crazy rich girl-poor girl trope which I like when done well. Not bad. I am interested in reading the next books.
4 stars. Definitely my favorite in this series so far. I'm not in love with this series, they're good, but not my favorites from Stone. Anyway, I love a good sugar mama romance and this was fun. Lindsey needs money and signs up on a sugar baby website. She's straight but responds to Camille on the website. Camille is dominant and Lindsey is a natural submissive. I liked their chemistry a lot and Camille was icy and a bit mysterious so of course I thought she was hot as hell. The third act drama was annoying but I appreciate that it didn't last long at all. The ending was great and I thought this was sexy as hell.
I finished this too long ago to remember all details, but one thing really stood out. While I've read from other reviewers that Ms. Stone is more "BDSM-light," what I liked about this was the explanation of why MC Lindsay likes to be a submissive. It was clear, straight to the point, and offered me more of an understanding of this world. Unlike "New Girl On the Street" which I couldn't finish, where BDSM appeared cold, aloof, and unfeeling, this one gave me an "oh cool, I get it" vibe. So even though the read not very deep and predictable, it was entertaining.
This is another page turner from this author. Once you start reading it is impossible to put down. I enjoyed the story line and loved the chemistry between the two MC of Camilla & Lindsey. I took to Lindsey straight away, but it took me a few chapters to fall in love with Camilla.
I have read everything this author has written (more than Once) and have loved everything she has written so far. If I could request one thing, it would be to write longer novels, although, in saying that, she could write a 1000 page novel and it probably wouldn't be enough for me.
I would definitely recommend reading this book (or any of her other books - especially Behind Closed Doors). You will not be disappointed. I'm already looking forward to her next book.
I received an ARC copy of this book by the author and voluntarily leaving my review.
I love Anna stones!! She gets the characters right to keep you hooked and I just love Vanessa from being hers and Camilla from hers to keep! .. the whole Dom sub thing is done so well I love falling in love with the relationships they all have
Oh I loved this story of Camilla and Lindsey! The slow start and the found family and lovers was just beautiful. Also, the gathering with the others was also beautiful with Vicki giving Lindesey advice. Thank you Anna. This one is special to me.
This one is softer type, however it is extremely sweet as well. I enjoyed characters and issues they had to resolve in order to be happy. That's what it is. Happy book!
Sugar baby is an interesting angle to this series and this level of submission is certainly the reasons I find BDSM alien. So unfortunately this third book did not enamor me like the previous two.
I think this one was definitely my favourite out of the three in this series so far. I love the characters and they have great chemistry. The BDSM is more prominent in this one as Lindsey is a 24/7 submissive. The only negative point is the ending. I find that all of Stone's books follow the same pattern: all is good until it's not, they break up and then get back together quickly and everything is wrapped up. I wish there were a little bit more complexity to her storytelling, but I'll take what I can get.
I’m honestly in love with the books of this series. They are all so good and this one wasn’t an exception. I LOVED it! The story of Camilla and Lindsey is so sweet and exciting and sexy and romantic and just so fluffy. It really warms my heart when I read stories like this that have a little bit of everything and end in a happy ending. Just amazing!! And I loved the little update we got from the other two couples from the other books hehe love that they are all friends. I really do recommend this book and all the others from the series.
Age-gap, pretend-relationship, BDSM – this one ticks a lot of tropes, but is one of the sweetest romances. Though there is kink in the book, the kink doesn’t drive the romance; the romance drives the kink.
Another great story from Anna Stone-loved the dominant/submissive characters she writes! This book explores the submissive character more in depth, one of my favorites of hers. That there's an age-gap and smoking hot love scenes make it even better!
Artist Lindsey had hoped to find a career pursuing her art after college graduation. Instead, she's a telemarketer selling life insurance, and she hates it. When a friend suggests that Lindsey offer herself up as a "Sugar Baby" looking for a "Sugar Daddy" or even a "Sugar Mommy," she's appalled, but is intrigued enough to sign up (with the help of a lot of alcohol. Camilla is a businesswoman and a Domme who never lets anyone get too close. Though Lindsey's only experience with another woman is a few kisses in college, she's intrigued by Camilla. And then the two start developing feelings for each other.
While this romance novel is so unrealistic it might as well be labeled "fantasy," it's still a very good book. Both Lindsey and Camilla need to learn to open up and be honest in their relationships, and their relationship is good for both of them, helping them grow. Most of the conflict is due to misunderstandings, which brings down my rating for the book a bit, but it's still a great read (if you like lesbian BDSM romance).
