Dylan and Seth are an item, they’ve been together for about a year and a half, and are in love. Dylan however has some self esteem issues, he doesn’t think he’s good enough for his gorgeous younger partner and gets it in his head that perhaps Seth is seeking his pleasure outside of their relationship. Seth is a bar tender who works late hours in a gay club that has plenty of hot tottie as a temptation so of course this plays on his mind as well. So the silly man decides to hire a ‘fidelity tester’ to see if Seth is open to advances! First little niggle here, because there’s no real explanation given for what has made him suspicious, it’s all just based on his insecurities and the only reason he gives Cole - the man he hires - is that Seth won’t move in with him? Why would that be so significant to make him think his man could be cheating, I didn’t get that!
Cole is a drop dead gorgeous, beautiful specimen of man and if anyone could test a persons fidelity then its him. Ok so far so good but then suddenly it all starts to fall apart when Dylan feels an immediate attraction for Cole, Cole finds himself fancying Dylan, Seth has already been having thoughts of watching Dylan in a three way and when Cole tries to tempt Seth at the pub only to face rejection because Seth really does love Dylan, its Cole who takes over in his fantasies of Dylan with a faceless man. Up to this point that’s all these feelings between these three guys are….fantasies, but I must say they all ( Colt included) fantasize the same thing a hell of a lot!
Then the brown stuff hits the fan as Seth overhears Dylan arranging to meet Cole to get the news. Dylan gets the good news about Seth but because both of them are feeling an attraction there’s a bit of mild flirting that ends with Dylan telling Cole that yes he is attracted but he loves his partner too much, so it finishes with him giving Cole a peck on the lips as a goodbye and who should see it but Seth............... Great story. The focus is on how three people come to fall in love with each other and get into a relationship that involves more than two. I liked this approach a lot because it gives the story credibility. As usual, the author created unique, strong characters. Cole in particular with all his contradictions and issues had me hope for him to have a happy ending. My only complaint: there could have been more ménage sex scenes
TBH, 3some are not my thing, though it wasn't my first attempt at reading them, I really love this book.
Cole was my favorite character in this story, despite his job as a fidelity tester, he was totally devoted to Dylan. My heart broke for him when read the part of Dylan dumped him and I couldn't say that Dylan was heartless, IMO, he was kinda selfish. But still, according to the situation, breaking up will come no matter what they do.
Seth was a likeable man, so sunshine and relaxed. I enjoyed reading he and Cole's together time, he has mature psychology compare with his young appearance. This contrast made him more attractive and became a support for Cole. I'm not surprised when they together.
At the outset, I feared there would be cheating in this fic, the more I read it, the more i feel reassured. Sage Marlowe has set up an amazing basis to guide the love triangle step by step and i was enjoyed.

I can definitely tell you that I am always up for a menage. I absolutely adore them. However, I had a few issues with this one. The writing was good, not spectacular. And I felt the relationships were a little forced. First, guy 1 and guy 2 are together. Then guy 1 and 2 break up because guy 2 did something stupid. Then guy 2 and guy 3 get together and then break up. Then guy 1 and guy 3 get together, and then guy 2 asks if he can get back together with either one and find out the other two are together. Then all three get together. It just felt a little forced.
Plus, I absolutely hated how Dylan treated Cole when they were together alone. I just did not like the dynamic when the three were together either, and I really did not like Dylan, period. I just felt that Seth and Cole fit together better alone.
I did enjoy this one - would give a 4.5 if I could, and a definite reread. I liked that it wasn't really two adding another, it was a series of events that lead to them all changing in some way individually and then as various groupings before coming to realise there was only one way for them all to be happy.
Hrm, this book was middle of the road for me, and I skimmed the heck out of it. ‘Cheating’ books are always a gamble, and everyone seemed to fall in love so quickly around there, it was a bit of a stretch for the readers imagination. I did like the characters Seth and Cole, but Dylan was a bit annoying. Still, I cruised to the finish line, and got an HEA. It was alright.
I really liked the depth of the characters for the most part. This book was all about love angst. A little disappointed on the smut. I mean, there are three of them. There are quite a few things that they could have done that were just not there. It was a decent read, but I felt something was missing. I guess I never really connected w/ the characters.
