A great story.

This entire series has an endless storyline. I started the first book only realize there was no answer or ending, which led me to read the second, third and so on. There are far too many characters to keep straight with no real descriptions of them. I listened to all seven books and still there is no true ending. Narration was slow and lacking emotion, had to listen at 1.5 x speed to get through the monotony. Would not suggest.

This is a holiday fiction clean and wholesome romance that is page-turning with exceptional world-building and characters that are realistic and intriguing. Their heartwarming journey is enthralling as they embark on love, forgiveness, and strong family bonds. Carolina Preston returns to take over her family's restaurant following the end of a disastrous marriage. Simon Rivers waltzed back into town and was the last person that she expected to see, he was her childhood friend that drifted apart years ago. Caroline is nursing a broken heart from her divorce when she sees him meander into her family's restaurant. Simon is by her side every step of the way as she eases back into the routine of running her family's restaurant and the simple pleasure of life in the small bayside town. Simon has a secret though; he's been in love with Caroline since they were kids. As they grow closer, his fear of losing her to something that's better left buried in his family's past is on his mind. If you love sweet romance and want to find out if there is a happily ever after, I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her readers' hearts and attention with the restaurant in Bar Harbor and magnificent sunrises and sunsets that are picturesque with vibrant colors that are painted across the gorgeous sky that are sure to have readers astounded in this heartwarming journey of love and friendship with some mystery, secrets, deception, drama, and more intertwined.

Amy continues the Bar Harbor series with Caroline & Simon's story.

Caroline has returned home to Bar Harbor after she confirmed her husband's infidelity and filed for divorce, and decided to sell her shares in the lucrative restaurant Lio-Caz.

She would help her father restore "Preston's" the family restaurant and update it physically using her Culinary skills to update the menu.

She had already agreed to help her old friend Simon (not realizing exactly what Simon was asking, hmmm!!!), so Mornings for Simon & afternoons for Dad for a few weeks.

Where are we going with Caroline, Simon, Cara and Aunt Claire(yes Aunt Claire!!!!, and "The Order of the Rose".????

Caroline and Simon have been lifelong best friends, except for the few years Caroline was married. Now she’s divorced and back home in Bar Harbor looking forward to helping her father redesign the family restaurant. Are there sparks between Caroline and Simon? Before their relationship can be explored things start to go sideways. There’s another fire, a shady casino owner and more questions arise about the Order of the Rose.

We are slowly getting to the answers of all the mysteries in Bar Harbor. Are they somehow all connected? Or are there several different mysteries? You’ll need to read the next book to find out.

Another installment in this terrific town of Bar Harbor. Amy sure can keep one enthralled with all the characters and the life-size goings on all around. We finally see Simon and Caroline begin to meld together as another scandalous fire erupts in her dad's restaurant. When will it end. It is beginning to shake out about those who are involved in the Order of the Rose and you will be surprised when you find out who is the head of it. I am so immersed in this whole family dynamic and hope it never ends, although disaster cannot last forever, I hope. Be sure to be here for the next, and final, episode. You do not want to miss it! This is spectacular writing!

This is Simon and Carolinestory. These two have been friends since childhood. Caroline has returned Bar Harbor after her divorce. She is going to put her energy into her family's restaurant.
Simone however asks for her help with a family mystery and she gladly agrees.
As these two come to terms with the more than friends feelings they have for each other, the mystery of who is causing all the problems deepens.
Cara asked for Simone and Caroline's help and states they are the only two she trust.
The need to get to the bottom of the Order of the Rose and the Palm Island Group and Theodore group.
This novel gives much more background information about the family.

Bar Harbor harbors a lot of secrets for a small town. It was good to return and visit again with the residents, permanent and temporary. Amy Rafferty keeps the mystery of the artifacts, thefts and family going. There are parts of Cara’s AI house I would love but I don’t think I’d want to worry about my house spying on me. It is really difficult to decide who to trust and who is being honest. The Rivers family has lots of secrets and we’re only starting to realize just what they are. I’m loving this series and I can’t wait for the next book. I may re-read the previous one just to get everything clean in my mind. Do pay attention to note on Amazon to read these books in order, each one reveals a little more about the answers.

The burn is slow but frustrated by the search for who and what, yet others already know they belong together. What idvgoingbon with the investigation regarding the Rivers situation, the pirate story continues. The Order seems to be involved and Aunt Clair obviously knows or has answers. The suspense continues...

Mysterious happenings.

An absolutely brilliant book and writer. Never fails to totally draw me into the story and keep me engaged from cover to cover in one reading. The plot, the characters are superb and the storyline is fascinating. A book and series by Amy Rafferty that can not be missed!

This is an intriguing story with so much to uncover, each book allows you to discover more about the secrets involving Cara and her family. Love the characters in this series. A sweet, second chance at love story. It was a delight from start to finish. I loved watching Caroline and Simon develop feelings from friends to more. Finished the Restaurant in Bar Harbor last night, but the internet was out so I couldn't post. Simon and Caroline's story was filled with a lot of investigating. This is Simon and Caroline's story. It deals with two friends separated by Caroline's unfortunately horrendous divorce. There's always been a spark between them. Is it love?

When Cara shares her investigation of the Palm Island Group she also lets them know she's investigating The Order of the Rose. Are they the good guys or the bad guys here? And have personal issues clouded the case? Family history is revealed in this volume, and it deepen the connection and the consequences. Highly Recommended 5/5
