Dark Descendants is by far the best out of the trilogy and I'm glad I read it last. See My review here.
Tentacles of Ink was wisely set between the 2 stories as I found very dark and slightly depressing. I needed something to take my mind off it. See My review here.
Cult Sacrifice was better in the sense I didn't find it as dark as the one before. But there is still a sense of hopelessness and lack of choice. See My review here.
