Starting with the first dinosaurs that walked the earth over 225 million years ago, and ending with the last dinosaurs about 65 million years ago, Everything You Need to Know About Dinosaurs is the fifth title in the highly successful Everything You Need to Know series. Arranged into five chronological chapters—The First Dinosaurs, A World of Dinosaurs, The Time of the Giants, Cretaceous Dinosaurs, and The Last Dinosaurs—this encyclopedic volume is perfect for young dinosaur enthusiasts. With over 1000 full-color illustrations, numerous activities, things to find, and Internet links throughout, this book will spur learning way beyond its pages.
Even though this was geared for children, I still enjoyed it. It's a pretty recent publication so it includes a lot of the new information scientists have discovered lately about dinosaurs, like the fact that they are related to birds and some had feathers.
Since this was for kids, though, it left me wanting more. I'm obsessed with dinosaurs but I have a hard time finding any books about them that are geared to adults, or even teens, so I have to settle with books like this.
