Surprise ending. Very graphic. There are things here that I never thought of although some things are a little far fetched even for my vivid imagination. This is number 3 in the series. Number one was good. Number two was less so. This, is a different turn in the road.

It really helps if you read this series in order. The stories are well researched historically, which adds enjoyment to the reading. The how he moves in time is not an approach I have read from other authors. That is not what should be dwelled on. It is the stories themselves that are very entertaining. Read the first one and keep going :)

Third book in the series, but the first one I read. It got me hooked. I went back and read the first two, and then the fourth was published. I also had the privilege of reading a fifth, unpublished book: "Sea of Time". That was three or four stars too.

About time travel, from 1990 NYC to the Pacific islands during WWII. Strange ending--not at all what I expected. I would like to go back and read the others in the series. I learned plenty about the P.T.O. and Japan, and American perceptions of Japan during the war.

This time Alex finds himself in the Pacific during World War II investigating Japanese nuclear capability. FDR, Einstein, JFK, Orson Welles, Betty Grable, Amelia Earhart, and Julia Child for heaven’s sake! In the present Molly is headed for Japan researching an article on Japanese atrocities during the war. Their paths intersect in a totally unexpected way and the book ends not at all as I had hoped...where do we go from here?
