Day after monotonous day, Jen went about her daily routine as a blue collar robot until one day she was bitten by a She-demon risen from the darkest depths of Hell. Dazzled by her new found evening activities, she comes to find that there is always a catch…she must take the life of innocents as well as the scumbags of the earth, then and only then, would she become the Right-Hand Demon to her new Queen. But will the strands of her humanity keep her caught between the two worlds forever? Or will she become one of the earth’s most powerful, feared beings…after hours?
Robin Renee Ray is known as a Multi-genre Author. She's only been writing for seven and a half years but has come to love everything about the world of being a novelist. She began in the paranormal romance genre, then jumped into horror, then right on into suspense thrillers. 20 novels and numerous short stories later, she is well on her way! She resides in Southern New Mexico with her husband, David, very close to her two granddaughters.
Robin is a newly self published author after giving a few small companies a try. And she will be opening her own company some time in 2014.
Bloodbreeders: Living in Darkness Book One, The Revenge Book Two, Seeking Other Book Three... and book four Lies Beneath London (coming soon) are her babies! A Dark Fantasy Vampire series...And she has so much more; paranormal romance, contemporary romance, thrillers and even a children's book.
The only way to fully become a demon involves taking the life of an innocent. But Jen is having trouble taking that last step.
This was an interesting twist on demons. The whole bite like a vampire thing has a lot of potential. But unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot else to this story.
There are a handful of glitches throughout the story but all are easy fixes. Usually just a dropped word or something similar. None disrupt the flow of the story.
There is a note at the end that says a follow-up story is in the works. I would consider reading it but would like to see more to the story than was presented in this one. I would rate this as 2.5 stars.
This is a very short story (25 pages) but definitely worth the read! I can't wait until part 2 After Hour Delights comes out. As always love you Robin <3
