Rate this book
“Supreme Influence is a way of being and communicating with purpose, poise, precision and power. It is a practice that allows you to consciously create harmonious relationships and produce successful results in every area of life.”

Transform your language, transform your life! Niurka, a former Anthony Robbins corporate trainer, and popular transformational leader and communication expert, teaches us how to increase confidence, enrich relationships, transcend fears and achieve greater success – all by choosing language wisely.

In this inspiring journey of discovery, Niurka shows us how shifting what we say and how we say it can forever alter the way we experience life and all its bounty. With practical and simple tools and techniques, this book guides us to expand our awareness, consciously direct our focus, and choose empowering thoughts and words, which ultimately will lead us all to a greater appreciation of life no matter what's happening around us. As we actively participate in uplifting our imaginings and conversations, we elevate our entire experience of reality.

On this journey, you will learn how to align your thoughts, focus, beliefs, body language, goals and vision with your purpose and authentic self. Most important, you will realize a deeper understanding of who you are and why you are here .
Regardless of what you’ve experienced up until now, you can rapidly and often instantly transform challenges, realize your vision,  and  inspire others through your example.

“No matter what you’ve experienced in life,” Niurka writes, “your being is beyond any circumstance, the past, any story, or beliefs. Throughout this book, I share my own past and stories because they offer wisdom and can make a difference, but the specifics of my circumstances don’t really matter. Who I Am is beyond every story. And so it is with you.”

Simultaneous Seriously! and Seriously?!?

In her book _Supreme Influence_, author Nikura (no last name) explores how language transformations can pave the way for life transformations:
“Supreme Influence is a way of being and communicating with purpose, poise, precision, and power. It is a practice that allows you to consciously create harmonious relationships and produce successful results in every area of life…These pages offer you wisdom and practical tools to transcend reactive tendencies so you authentically embody your magnificence. You will learn advanced communication skills to improve your business, enhance your relationships, and enrich every area of your life. You will learn how to align your thoughts, focus, beliefs, body language, words, goals, and vision with your true purpose and authentic self.” (pp. 3-4)

I found this book to be a mixed bag/book. On the one hand, it no-doubt had some great explanations and insights on the how the words we use—both in speech and thoughts—influence our actions, perceptions, and relationships. I thought the author did an especially impressive job in distilling the basics of neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and showing how to use its principles to improve real-life communication.

But, on the other hand/page, the book presented a few too many instances where sound psychology and spirituality collided with blatant superficiality and materialism. Take, for instance, the time when the author uses her Supreme Influence to “promptly manifest” a red Mercedes-Benz. (Note: she also did have a backup plan, allowing more than one way for “the Universe to bring me the essence of my desire in whatever way reflected divine order. I organized my thoughts and strategized, ensuring that I had more than one way to achieve my goal. Plan B was Porsche. Plan C was BMW.” )

While reading this book, I found myself simultaneously soaking in (seriously!) interesting info while cringing at spirituality gone superficial (seriously?!?).

So, if you want a mix of seriously! and seriously?!?, this book has that. But, if you’re more serious, I’d recommend finding supreme influence elsewhere.

Love Niurka, loved this book, LOVE her message. Love her courses. Amazing transformational leader who's truly committed to helping others discover their own power, gifts, and magnificence. Her work has inspired and taught me how to use language to create opportunities, bridge communication, and begin living my life the way I create it (vs. how it occurs to me).

I loved the way she incorporated so many wisdom texts and quotes, and her use of language is other worldly.

In general, I agree with the main theme of the book. However, I have the feeling that the book itself could be much shorter, there is a lot of repetition of basic information but a lack of in-depth explanations. Yet another book about the Law of Attraction, but was it really needed? I feel like this book was written without a good plan, it is a bit chaotic.

Mixed science (NLP), spirituality, and religion. The author has a good understanding of different religions and she even interprets the original transcripts of the Bible on her own.

I would say this book is a good introduction to NLP, but is it really? Nope, NLP has been slightly touched and the information is not well organized as with the other subjects of the book. Better read something else about NLP and about the Law of Attraction. And it is really better to read Napoleon Hill instead of reading about yet another interpretation of it.

Also, I do not like books that suggest to me how I feel/think, for example: "You will choose healthy food not because [...]. You feel inner peace not because you took [...]". Notice how she smoothly goes from "You will choose" to "You feel". Probably not intentionally though, however considering the book is about the language we choose when we speak inside and outside - it might be on purpose as well.

Still, there are some nice parts in the book, and in general, the author wants you to feel good and have access to everything life has to offer, so it is still worth reading if you have it. The "reframe questions" are a good way to align yourself, and see a bigger perspective. I was quite enjoying half of the book, the other half got me bored.

Great and interesting read...

I really liked the way that Niurka shared her personal stories and other stories in general. She could change her life by the powerful language she used, and in this book she teaches all of us how to do exactly the same. Words have an awesome power!!!!

Niurka’s SUPREME INFLUENCE is a major contribution. It’s great for anyone looking for an empowering way of thinking.
I love this book. It is clear, practical, and to the point. Niurka uses personal examples with a very down-to-earth tone. Nothing preachy about her writing.

The ending, however, came as a surprise.

I got lost at sea in the boat metaphor.

Maybe other readers will find meaning and coherence where I did not, but for me, the ending seemed disconnected from the theme and purpose of the book. At the finale, I didn’t know if I was reading a self-help book on empowered thinking or spiritual book on enlightenment and world peace.
Without the last part, I’d have given SUPREME INFLUENCE five stars hands down.

The message—at least for most of the book—is so empowering and important I recommend this book to anyone. Perhaps with an added remark that if the ending doesn’t resonate, don’t let that take away from the core teaching of the book.

This book explores an elevated level of mindfulness, stemming from intrinsic awareness and motivation. Niurka delves deeply into the steps that lead to supreme influence, fostering charisma and positive energy, whilst uncovering the potential within each of us. Rather than focusing on ephemeral mindset shifts, this book emphasises personal transformation, not in opposition to others, but through a return to innocence and enhanced self-knowledge. The author underscores the importance of honouring and appreciating one's innate talents, and maintaining unwavering desire in the face of failure. Quotes throughout the book magnify the message in each chapter, offering profound insights. Highly recommended, this read promises a truly inspiring journey of self-discovery.

I don’t know what to say here. Too much “positivity, love-yourself” perkiness. Niurka is great, but a tad too “high” for my taste. I wonder what drug she’s on...whatever it is I want it! She’s on cloud nine with rainbows on it, that’s for sure. In any case, whatever my opinion may be, I at least admire her enthusiasm. She definitely does have that!

Our choice of language, both oral and written, gives others an impression of who we are. The author examines those affects on our personal and professional interactions and offer tips on how to change the impression we present to others. Supreme Influence is well worth reading by anyone.

I rediscovered some things I already knew, but in a deeper way. This book got me thinking and acting more positive instantly. There are some great real life applications to get you started. It can be a little slow at times, but it's a great book and one I'll probably read again in the future.
