crafts and craftspaces/ blogger Beci Orpin produces beautiful photos and inspiring crafts in real life, but the selection of beginner projects included in this book were not impressive (the photography was fine). If you'd like a crafty-looking coffee table-book, fine, but if you are hoping for hands-on crafts, skip it [browse pinterest instead].

I liked some of the basic ideas in this book, however some were perhaps not really “craft projects” as such, eg planting succulents, and some ideas were quite repetitive. I was a bit confused as to why there were pages detailing work history eg. chilli sauce bottle label design, it was kind of like reading a long CV and hard to relate to, there was no craft instructions to follow on from the graphic design projects mentioned, the book was more about cutting things out from paper, no digital design advice so it seemed out of place. The stencil section is helpful though!

This was ok, not my aesthetic. Lots of crafts that I think you could do with older kids.

I loved the simplicity of some of these projects. Also, Beci supplies every bit of creativity you will need to make these projects, including templates.
