She often talks to creatures of all kinds and has a passion for animals, nature, and travel. She lives in Queensland, Australia, with her husband and has survived teaching her three children how to drive.
Samara and her dragon familiar Ulrieg are finding that truth is hard to find.
Samara is finding that things aren’t always as they seem at the school. There is more bad things happening than good. Her familiar is trying to get her to really see behind the false behavior that most of the teachers have. To see the action in the real light not in the hidden mists. The friends she has made have changed and she now only trust a few. Those have become her new family. Now she has to keep them alive.
This was a very good addition to books 1 & 2. I dislike the seeming loss of one of our beloved characters. And, I hate that, for now, the most loss is on the side of good. Why couldn't Samara and Ulrieg take down at least 1 on the opposite side?
Also, there's a couple of a nice surprises near the end. We have hope for more "inside" help, as well.
The epilog made the story feel complete while letting us know there's more to come. It was interesting and the new discovery is well written.
I wrote my review in the first book of this series after having read the 4th in the series. It just keeps getting harder to ignore the predictability and the “cringey” and totally unbelievable anime style dialogue. You can easily skip paragraphs to get to the end of the book- you really won’t miss much. Ugh. I may just give up and not finish the series. I am one of those people to finish a series unless it’s total trash and this isn’t total trash. It has hope, but the dialogue and the way it’s written as if by a child. Don’t worry, you always know what is going to happen, so if the dialogue makes you cringe as it did me, you can skip around to get through it too.
That went from bad to worse, real fast! This is a continuation of Samara's story. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the growth in her character. I am sad about the end, but look forward to finding out what happens! =D
This series is incredible. The bad people show there real characters and doing more and more despicable things and the heroine looses her best friend and has to carry on alone with her familiar to find someone to help her. Can't wait to read the next book.
I think I am done with this series. I hate to give up in the middle, but this is book 3, and it still has not improved. Predictable as all get out. Very shallow characters, very naive, written at a middle school level.
