Tom Plummer, with a PH.D. in literature from Harvard , reflects on the fine and not so fine points of growing older, with humorous stories about his family and friends. A very light one afternoon read for a target audience over 55. Not sure I actually learned anything new, although I find we seniors seem to like to commiserate !! 3 stars

Found this book at a garage sale. I think I finished 4 other books while reading this one. It’s a sentimental and sometimes humorous look at growing older with some stories that hit close to home. reading it straight through might have been a little depressing, so I read a chapter every once in awhile. Maybe I’ll pass it on to one of my siblings.

This book starts out on a light, even hilarious note, especially for those who are aging. The tone changes later on, becoming thoughtful, insightful, and helpful in dealing with aging issues.

Good read; some good advice on growing old. This book reasured me, and was brought out in the book, that the golden years are not so golden.
