This series is a nice break from the more serious books I usually read. The characters are enjoyable & there’s a nice combination of classic Disney Peter Pan characters and references mixed with regular little girls who stumble into Neverland. Lovely!

I picked up a copy of this at a second hand store thinking it might be of interest to my granddaughter and thought that I should read it before sending it to her. It is book two in a series but I found it easy to pick up the story without having read book one. It describes the experience of four young female friends who having found themselves in a Never Land with the fairies, suddenly have to return to their homes not knowing if they will ever be able to get back with their fairy friends. Little do they know, there is an unexpected opening between the two worlds which leads to confusion and trouble. It is clear that there will be more books in the future. While not particularly exciting to this adult reader, I am hoping it will work to capture the attention of my granddaughter who has yet to completely fall in love with reading.

I didn't think this book was as great as the first one. My little sister (7-years-old) didn't like it as much either. It just wasn't as exciting as the last one. I found it to be a bit boring, honestly. We look forward to the next one which we hope will have the same magical ambiance of the first.

The Never Girls: the space between
Summary: Continuing from the first book, in a blink, Kate, Lainey, Mia, and Gabby have made it home. Before the girls left Never Land, Lainey was spending a lot of time with an animal-talent fairy named Fawn. Fawn believed Lainey could be an animal-talent Clumsy so she was teaching Lainey how to talk to animals. Once Lainey was back home, she tried talking to the neighbor dog with no luck. Just as she arrived at her house, she spotted Milkweed, a dairy mouse from Fawn’s farm! But how did he get to the mainland? Was is possible that she, Kate, Mia, and Gabby could find a way back to Pixie Hollow?

Another tiny discrepancy between this and Peter Pan's world: The Space Between is all about another unusual way to get into Neverland. This time it's a small crack or whole between the two worlds. Even so, the stories remain charming and have some solid messages for the reader about developing talents.

Lainey fears she has no talent, but has a deep connection to animals. In Neverland, she's learning how to speak to them like a real animal-talent fairy, or at the very least, an animal-talent clumsy. "Clumsies" are the name given to humans by the fairies themselves. When animals from each world find their way through the space between the worlds, will Lainey discover her talent at last?

Honestly, I'm loving this series. I got it for my niece to read, not really knowing for sure if she likes Peter Pan, or even Tinker Bell and the fairies in the other movies, but I thought I'd get this series to see if it was good anyway. I was pleasantly surprised at how cute this whole story was. Which is why I am rating these 5 stars. I loved every second of this story, and while it didn't take me a day to read it all, I think these are super fast reads you can get through pretty quickly, so if you have a number of reads to get through every month, or at the end of the year, these books are super easy to get through and in my opinion, they are worth the effort to read.

There is no way a child would not be into this series. So cute!!!

The girls go back home but Milkweed, a mouse, seems to come through with them. Mia's cat seems to be missing now. Then Lainey discovers a breach in a fence near their homes. Lainey goes back and finds Mia's cat who is reeking havoc in Never Land among the fairies. What is going on?

I enjoyed the girls finding a breach in the area between earth and Never Land. I also liked them fixing what the cat has done to the fairies. I like that there will be more stories between the girls and Never Land. This is perfect for an young elementary school reader. All with Tinkerbell and the other fairies.

120 pgs. Another great book in the series when the fairies send the girls home. They are not happy about leaving Neverland but go nonetheless. One day while in the kitchen, Lainey sees a mouse with a bell around its neck. She figures out it is Milkweed, a mouse from Neverland. She cannot figure out what he is doing in her world. In the meantime, Fawn, a lively fairy accidentally lets Mia's cat, Bingo, into the Fairy realm. There is a lot of drama, as you can imagine. Lots of action and great fantasy scenes. Girls will really enjoy this series. Highly recommended for Grades 3-5.

This is a sweet series, especially good for very advanced young readers. The writing is great and features a varied vocabulary, but the content is light and appropriate for little ones.

I have not read this first book but this one was cute. I prefer the Rainbow Fairies series to this one so far. Basically the little human girls go back to earth but suddenly a gateway that connects the two is discovered. A cat goes to Neverland, a fairy and mouse end up in the "Clumsy"'s world. Mayhem! not really. But it sets up the rest of the series for the girls to keep hopping back to Neverland.

A light read about four friends who are given the chance to have an adventure in Neverland. This book follows the girls as they return home from their adventures in book 1 and realize time passes different in their world than in Neverland. This account mostly follows the adventure of Lainey who has a talent for speaking with animals. A portal between worlds opens and presents some issues. My seven-year-old daughter is really enjoying reading this series with me.

This was another cute book that my daughter and I read at bedtime. She seems to be enjoying these ones as she's picked two of them for me to read. This one finds the girls being whisked back to their home but finding out there is a "tear" that can take them back to Neverland. What is next for the girls? I'm sure my daughter will want to know so I assume I'll find out soon!

I liked this one a teensy bit less than the first one. I do think it introduces some neat concepts though, and I appreciate the openness to create new ideas in the pixie hollow world. I’m excited to see what happens with the idea of the hole. Overall- it’s a good read once again. I did in fact enjoy it

I really loved this one! I have yet to read the first or others in the series as I just came across this in a local thrift store. It was easy to pick up despite not knowing anything about the story previously and it was such a warm and silly story about young girls and their fairy friends. <3

A cute and quick read! I’ve started these books as a read aloud with my 6 year old and she loves them. Excellent for the kid in your life just getting into chapter books with an extra sprinkle of magic! My daughter is excited to read the rest of the series!

I find this series really interesting even though it is written for children. The world is based on the Disney fairies books instead of the movies. I also like the concept of a portal between the human world and Neverland.
