After the shocking cliff hanger from the previous volume, the tension builds to extreme levels as the group threatens to pull apart. "There is a killer among us!" Everyone is suspect, and this volume ends on another intriguing cliff hanger. My favorite volume so far.
I have to say, this volume really hammered home the main problem of this series: it's too over the top at times. Granted, you should expect over the top-ness when it comes to its author, but the main problem is that this makes the series drag quite a bit.
The good thing is that the introduction of the new character in volume 3 (a male classmate) did shake things up a bit. It made many of the character look at their actions from a new viewpoint, which continues in this volume. The artwork is of course great, which helps keep several of the more slow points pick up.
I just can't help but return to the issue that so much of this drags due to its over the top nature and that everything feels so manufactured. To really make the suspense have that much more of an impact, it's really necessary to have it be more believable than it is here. One of the classmates is shown to be capable of murder, which should have had more of an impact than it did. I couldn't help but just shrug and go "eh, ok, what else do you have to offer".
I might still collect the last two volumes, more so because I want to complete my set than any true burning desire to really finish the story. I'm curious as to why the Big Bad is and whether or not any of the foreshadowing or heavy handed hints (which I'm guessing will be wrong, at least I hope so- it'd be too obvious) are correct. It's just that after finishing the volume I'm left largely ambivalent. I'd suggest collecting this volume if you're a completionist like myself or have truly loved the series, but I wouldn't overly recommend it to someone wanting a very strong thriller or something that'll leave them clamoring for more.
So is the mystery supposed to be keeping us in suspense? Because it's not doing it for me. With two full volumes left to go, it can't be Obvious Guy or Obvious Girl, and since Dead Girl 1 and Dead Girl 2 have been eliminated as suspects, that leaves the Protagonist and Voice of Reason Girl. Gee, I wonder which one it could be?

Things continue to escalate in this volume, throwing us firmly into "whodunnit" territory. But even with the tensions rising, paranoia mounting, and the reveal of who the main threat actually is, Limit is still a series that's just...okay. Part of me does wonder just what that character's angle is, but there are better-written and more compelling series on my to-read list.
If you're really into survival stories, and you don't mind melodrama and the occasional challenge to your suspension of disbelief, you might get more mileage out of Limit. For me though, it's going to be awhile before I continue this, and not because it's outright bad--it just hasn't really grabbed me after four volumes.
I sort of love how dark this series is, and how it is not really letting up at all. Time is going by fairly slowly, but if it were to go by quicker you'd expect rescue for the surviving students, which is really not what this is about. It really is a mystery who has done what in this series, though I hope we find out. I like that this series is such a quick read, and yet there is such detail in some of the scenes. A good series and I can't wait to continue.
So awesome and suspenseful. I love the gritty way it is drawn at times to show intense feeling. It's getting scarier, who will be next and who is at fault and why??
Comento este tomo solo para señalar que no entiendo que si la portada original es verde y todas las ediciones son verdes, Arechi la haya puesto azul ¿?
Ohmygod this is getting so good. I should have picked this up forever ago.
There is serious drama, seriously dark stuff happening right now. Not that I wasn’t expecting it but… I kind of wasn’t expecting it? I didn’t think it would get this dark, I guess. Maybe I read too many happy-ending books, because this is definitely not one.
I don’t want to get into detail, but some really bad stuff happens in this volume. Character wise, violence wise, just in every way pretty much. I kind of can’t believe it. And I really badly want to read the next one.
I like Konno a lot, I like Kamiya. I really don’t like Morishige, but I’m hoping she gets better. I really want to like Hinata, but that ending… God, that ending just makes me so upset. And so eager for the next book.
I am really impressed with this series. It’s really pretty, the characters are great even when they’re horrible. I’m loving the psychological stuff, the outlook and change in look on humans and friendship and survival and materialism. It’s so well done. And it gets even better, even more exciting, the more I read.
There's something about good thriller that will mesmerizes its reader. And then, there's something like a potential good thriller but its author decided not to end it so he/she will have reason to fill in more pages.
I don't know why Keiko Suenobu decided to prolong the sufferings of Konno and her classmates. I mean, it's impossible for them not to hear when a helicopter flying overhead, right? Unless they're all have turned deaf because of the accident.

Hasil numpang baca berdiri di Gramedia. Ada satu eksamplar yang kebuka sih :))
Hm...
"Among us hides a killer." Volume 4 is full of action and ends on another major cliff hanger. Why does Hinata hide the appearance of the helicopter?! Volume 5, here I come!
mungkin karena kelelahan lahir batin ditambah lagi dengan ketakutan karena ada pembunuh di antara mereka, kelima murid ini jadi makin kalut dan tidak bisa berpikir jernih...
