I thoroughly enjoyed this story by Portia Da Costa.
Set initially in northern England, and in a country hotel often used in many of her other stories, the Waverley Hotel...where many a kinky game or two can be found, overlooked, or even encouraged.
Here we meet Elizabeth Aitchison, aka 'Lizzie' but introduced as and becomes known to John Smith as 'Bettie' a 24 year old following the style of famous model, Bettie Page.
John is older, and has many hidden attributes, from past and work, including experience of some BDSM practices and definitely an Alpha or dominant male.
Lizzie pretends to be an escort and John her customer. And so the scene is set for a night of 'Pretty Woman' type, or better, experiences.
Yet this is its own story, and by the end it is apparent there is much more the reader wants to know about these characters, and also Lizzies friends and housemates.
Does this have a chance of a long term relationship...well, I'm off to read the follow up The Accidental Mistress to find out, but it's no definite cert.
I hope there is an ultimate future for them, but for sure we are left with some possibly insurmountable problems that could thwart this.

I like the characters, they are well developed, even the subsidiary ones. Main ones are very normal, and a little more, they have their faults too, and not just goody caricatures of people exploring their sexuality. Loved the spanking scenes and how nervous yet determined 'Bettie' is to experience something for real that has previously impacted only in fantasies. Definitely a gateway to BDSM story. I also loved Portia's take on Eyes Wide Shut...or is it Open:)
Their age difference for now is fine. Long term future though may be another thing. Next part will clear a few things up.

I would say this is just around the 4 star rating for me.

Review:

“Don’t look anywhere but where you’re going. Belle had said in The Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Swan straight into a place as if you’re meant to be there, head up, gaze forward, looing fabulous.”

HAWT… HAWT… HAWT! Mind-blowing, overheating screw-tastic scorching hot sexy time alert! The sex scenes are totally world rocking so much so the Richter Scale doesn't have a number to classify some of them!! Tree stumps and rulers and rainstorms will never have the same meaning...

There was something that began that first time they serendipitously met in the bar in the Waverly, something that gave Lizzie the confidence to step up to the mark (as giddy with excitement and adrenalin as she was) and follow through and that ignited a need, a lust, in John. I loved how unsure she was and yet so confident in the situation. It was with great anticipation I waited to see what was to come, when would she burst his bubble and tell him that “Bettie” was just plain old, 24 year old Lizzie; an office temp who enjoyed designing clothes and giving them life while she lived with her two best friends, Brent and Shelley. It was great to see the development of her personality unfold, see her become more accertive and also to see how captivated she became by him. Well he was yielding mind-blowing sex! I mean really, what girl would want to walk away from that? I loved the trickery of words Portia Da Costa uses as she allows Lizzie skirt around the truth never actually confirming his assumption of mistaking her for a call girl.

“Well, at the risk of this turning into a mutual admiration fest, you’re a pretty exceptional client, Mr Smith.”
“Ah, but isn’t it in the escorts’’ code that you have tell all of us that?”
“Well, yes, sort of, but I try not to get myself into a situation where I have to say it… unless I mean it.”

They both do their utmost to ensure the relationship is grounded in business and because it seems so easy and seamless to them, they have to remind themselves from time to time, no matter how much Lizzie wanted it to be different. She knew what it was, what they were and tries to keep up appearances and not let him get a glimpse of the vulnerable girl inside, possibly falling for this him.

“Well, as long as you don’t start refusing my money Bettie. I always like to keep things on a professional footing. A fair day’s pay for a fair day’s work and all that.” …. He wanted ‘Bettie’ the working girl, not some ordinary woman who’d cost him nothing, but who came with complications.

“Oh, absolutely. No matter how much creative satisfaction one gets from a job, it’s always nice to have ones talents validated by cold, hard cash.”

He too has a past, well at 46 years of age we would expect him to, but his make him guarded and withdrawn from any kind of meaningful relationship. Instead, he prefers the casual nature of a business arrangement. He likes things to be cut and dry, without the messy complications of emotions and feeling; that’s how he has made it til now. It becomes more than just sex to them both; somewhere in the merky depths of their façade it becomes something unexpected and yet neither wanted to deny themselves of it. But could they have something more meaningful? Would it work? Could either admit their feelings? Were these feelings true or just an unwanted by-product of the carnal acts they were engaged in?
“You’re not afraid of me, I know that. She was eager, excited, enraptured. Everything magical. No, I’m the one that’s afraid. Afraid of what I might feel.”

I loved the quirky phrases “Randy little trollop” and “Buggeration, fuck and fucking bugger!” that were thrown about and also the witty banter between the characters. They were each given time to develop naturally without being rushed; especially the organic unfolding of John’s willingness to open up to Lizzie and the caring relationship between Lizzie and her best friend Brent. Brent himself was actually an escort and is a source of comfort and help to Lizzie, though still reeling from the tragic death of his partner Stephen nearly a year ago. She is there for him as he is for her, everone needs a friendto lean on when times get tough. This also introduces another interesting dynamic to the relationship between John and Lizzie. I will say though, that I did want the story to gather a bit more traction a little faster outside of John and Lizzie's intoxicating bubble of sex and kink.

When I started reading it, I was taken in by everything Portia Da Costa laid out in front of me. It was like updated, modern day, kinkified (with some BDSM action) play on the movie Pretty Woman. I love how Portia Da Costa set her scenes; the anticipation of the interaction between Mr John Smith (no joke, that’s his actual name, though Lizzie did wonder about that too) and Lizzie, the uncertainty of how far things would go and the sheer balls of steel on Lizzie (metaphorically speaking of course). I can see how situations like that could happen, especially in a hotel such as Waverly Grange Hotel, which was known to look the other way when ‘accommodating’ the needs of their guests. There are times in life, when I think we all need to take a play from Lizzie’s book and take life by the horns and just go with it!

“Please don’t fall for him, Lizzie, she told herself, as he turned and grinned at her making a sunny day out of a torrential rainstorm. You can’t really have him, and he only wants you for a while… But it was far too late for that. The deed was done. As they almost flew across the lawn, she’d already fallen.”

I give The Accidental Call Girl 4.5 kinkified stars out of 5!

This is part 1 in "The Accidental Trilogy" and I cant wait for The Accidental Mistress to come out and we will get to continue the journey with our Bettie Page inspired Lizzie and her antics. Bring it on!

What an amazing book!! 5+ stars!!

What a great surprise this book was, it's a little gem!! It has I think the hottest sex I have ever read...BDSM scene in the woods while it was raining was knee shaking, breath taking, mind blowing, pants wetting :P Let's say the hero and heroine don't use the bed much and that's refreshing!! I never saw BDSM games so hot as after reading their games...totally a super fan :DDD He can have me there in the woods anytime lol

So we have a dark blonde, blue eyes very sexy 46 years old hero, Jonathan (John) Llewellyn Wyngarde Smith, he's a British Lord, a self made Billionaire even though his family is filthy rich...estranged from his aristocratic family because of some "bad" things he has done in his youth that are a secret in book 1. He's a total alpha man, a control freak, dominating, possessive, very jealous, very mysterious. He has a lot of secrets in his life. He loves sex in the most strangest places and he is bisexual.

Elizabeth (Lizzie/Bettie) Aitchison, 24 years old heroine, beautiful, intelligent, she's a mix of naivety and naughty girl. She looks like "Bettie Page" with her black hair, hair style, clothes and blue eyes. She works as an office temp, after abandoning her studies that costed her the relationship with her parents. She has a big passion which is styling and sewing clothes! She sews all her "Bettie Page" clothes and lives with her cat and her 2 best friends Shelley and Brent with whom she had a fling once. Brent is bisexual and works as an escort. He suffers from depression since an accident when his lover Steven lost his life and he feels guilty. Both him and Shelley are like family for Lizzie.

John and Lizzie, aka "Bettie" for him, meet at the bar of a hotel (where he was staying and negotiating to buy it) and she was enjoying a drink away from the birthday party of one of her friends that was taking place in the hotel. When Lizzie saw this beautiful sexy man she couldn't take her eyes from him. John takes her for an escort since in that bar expensive escorts were an usual thing. She plays the game, first curios to see where this game was going but later also because she wanted him too much and was afraid he was interested in her only because of the non string sex.

This book has some amazing hot and steamy sex scenes...as I said some of the hottest I have read. This is a beautiful love story and the story plot is very interesting and keeps you guessing what will happen next. Plus I love British heroes and heroines!

This is the first book of a trilogy called "Accidental" and has all 3 books published!! I totally loved and enjoyed the first book, so I totally recommend it!!

The Accidental Call Girl. Black Lace Classics. Portia Da Costa.

ARC supplied by Netgalley.
I do enjoy erotic romance :) so I thought this would be fun...and it was. Lizzie ducks out of a party into the adjoining bar for a few moments and meets John. He mistakes her for a high class call girl and on a whim she goes with it. He's sex personified and she has such a fabulous session with him she agrees to meet him again. The attraction takes them both by surprise, but Lizzie isn't the only one hiding secrets.
It covers a fairly short timespan and we meet Lizzie's two flat mates who are both great characters though we only see them briefly. The main focus is on John and Lizzie though and their hot, steamy, erotic interactions...they're really well done, no yucky icky phrases, and some great humour tucked in. Lizzie is sexually inexperienced as far as BDSM goes but John slowly introduces her to it in a gentle soft way. Some spanking, bondage and blindfolds – nothing major to frighten off inexperienced Lizzie - or readers :) . These scenes are very seductive and sensual, and really fit well the storyline. Lizzie keeps telling herself she's only with John as he's paid and not to expect any kind of relationship and yet..slowly she's falling in love with him. John too is entranced by Lizzie, she's fresh, honest and expects nothing from him even when she knows his true standing in the world. Its a change from ladies in his past, and he has to keep telling himself he doesn't want more – that only leads to let downs and troubles.
Of course in time secrets are revealed and there's tears, both Lizzie's and mine! I really got “into” this book, feeling emotional for poor Lizzie. Despite just going into this for fun, she'd fallen for John but was convinced he only wanted the gall girl and not the person she really was. I loved both characters, they felt so real you can't help but feel for Lizzie, and her sense of humour and John and his sexual touches...phew is all I can say!
Its a well written erotic romance, one of those with lots of hot, steamy sex, but that also has a solid story which is what I need. I'm not interested in those books with just page upon page of sex and a brief excuse for a story, no matter how well written. I need a proper story and Portia has done that. I'd love to read the follow up novel that's just out too, which continues on with the duo and their relationship, and of course the final in the trilogy. I'd have liked a bit more on the sad part though – it was quite brief and I need to wallow a bit in the emotion..its priced at £3.66 for 320 pages/420kb so reasonably priced for fun, sexy read.
Stars: four, a good erotic read with a solid story backing it.

I’ve been a huge Portia Da Costa fan for many years, so I was excited to hear that she was releasing a trilogy. I deliberately waited until the third book became available so I could read all three, back to back.

The Accidental trilogy is lauded as being an erotic romance for women with a ‘Pretty Woman’ fantasy. While I don’t have that fantasy, I do adore Portia’s work and was eager to dig in.

Book one, The Accidental Call Girl, tells the story of Lizzie Aitchison, a young woman who meets a hot older man in the bar of a hotel. She’s supposed to be at a party in one of the function rooms, but has sneaked out to the bar to have some respite. There she spots a golden-haired god. After some meaningful eye contact, the man comes over and introduces himself.

Lizzie’s thrilled, until it becomes apparent that the man, John Smith, thinks she’s a high-class call girl. Part of her is mortified, but another part of her thinks that, since she’d be perfectly willing to sleep with the hunk for free, why not do it for a healthy lump of cash?

The pair get on incredibly well in the bedroom, with fun and games galore, and John asks if Lizzie will be his exclusive partner while he’s in town for a few days. She agrees, as she’s desperate to experience more of John’s special brand of lovemaking. He makes her feel things she’s never felt before, and it’s clear he’s got plenty of money, so why not go along with the charade? It’s only for a few days, after all.

It soon becomes apparent that there’s more to their dalliance than meets the eye – and Lizzie feels compelled to admit the truth about herself, since she cares about John, more than she’s willing to admit. However, it turns out he’s already well aware of her deception, and seems able to overlook it.

I don’t want to say any more and give the game away, but in summary, I adored this book. It’s typical Portia Da Costa – incredibly well-written, funny, great characters and settings, and with sex so hot I’m surprised the pages didn’t get scorched. Yes, it’s a book about a millionaire and a normal girl, but the difference is, this author’s been writing since before erotica became fashionable, and I hope she’ll still be doing it after the wave has ebbed. A seriously hot, fun and romantic read, and one that had me immediately picking up book two once I’d finished this one. Highly recommended.

Part 1 of the Accidental Trilogy.

I love erotic romance novels and looked forward to this book, girl duck out of a boring party into the bar, eyes meet a stunning older gentleman he thinks she is a escort she plays along, and so the story starts.

Unfortunately i feel like ive missed something, although the story was good and the sex scenes were hot and some times made me chuckle, Lizzie and John have a great banter between them. They have lots and lots of steamy sex in all sorts of places, that are well written but i didnt feel any emotion while reading.

The characters have such great potential with the whole similarity to pretty woman, but we barley get the basics of there lives and background story, i know this story is supposed to take place in a matter of days maybe pushing a week, but i just felt that i wanted more than just lots of sex. I didnt feel the chemistry between John and Lizze.

John is a very considerate lover and is very gentle when showing Lizzie something new, even though he was the dominant type, i liked that about him. Lizzie is a independent woman who knows what she wants and goes after it, but then she lets John walk away from her without a fight, whats that all about.

This review makes it sound like i didnt like the book, but i did it was a good read but i wanted more depth to it, there was so much sex and no umph behind it. You know more about the characters sexual parts than you get to know about them. This story just didnt seem to pull me into it like most erotica books do.
Maybe you get to know more about them in the next two books in the trilogy, i sure hope so. The ending in this book could have made it a stand alone, there’s no cliff hanger to give the pull to read the next book so if you didnt know it was part of a trilogy you wouldnt be looking for the next part.

I really enjoyed the first book of Portia Da Costa's Accidental trilogy. It was filled with hot scene after hot scene, which never became tedious or lost any momentumn. I liked Lizzie's Bettie Page pin-up girl image and the fact that she made her own clothes. Most of the book is from Lizzie's point of view. This made her a very likeable heroine as I experienced her excitement and doubts of pretending to be a call girl. There are occasional insights into John's mind too. I came to look forward to these as I got to know his real feelings towards Lizzie. At times, John is very similar to Christian Grey with his dark past, sexual habits, billionaire wallet. He even had a friend with a helicopter at a sex party they attended. These similarities are poked fun at with this quote:

"His tie was a shade darker and a shade greyer than the suit, in a subtle pattern, and she smiled to herself, thinking of a book that she'd read not all that long ago."

(Perhaps John Smith is the middle-aged Christian if he'd never met Ana?)

Looking forward to reading Lizzie and John's continuing story in the next two books in the trilogy.

I pulled an all nighter with this book! John meets Lizzie and assumes she is a call girl. Wow! She follows the ruse along thinking it is just for fun. John is to hunky and perfect I must say both Lizzie and I fell in love with him. A must read!

I Give this Book a 3.5-4/5 Star Rating, Listing as 4.

*Audiobook Review at Bottom

HEA(?): Can be read as a HFN, but this is Book 1 of 3, so technically it is a cliffhanger-y-ish.
Relationship Type: MF
Heat: 3.5-4/5, Heat is pretty good, while there is quite a bit it is overall very tame. I hope in Book 2 that the heat will be much more sizzling.
Romance: 3.5/5
Pacing: Hmmm…Slow Mid-ish(?)
Drama: 2.5-3/5
Suspense: 3/5
Dark(?): No.
Predictable(?): 4/5

Audiobook Review:
Overall: 4/5
Story: 3.5-4/5
Performance: 5/5
Narrator: Imogen Church

I mean honestly, the title is what caught my attention and it is exactly what I was looking for, this book (for me) is a relaxing palate cleansing background read, and I will definitely jump into book 2 soon.
Imogene’s voice grew on me the longer I listened to her, when she voices the men it was pretty dang good to the point I kept anticipating John’s POV or just when he talked.
I will absolutely be looking for more books she has narrated.

I liked this book. I was tempted to give it 4 stars, but I felt more comfortable with 3. If I could give it 3.5 I would, but alas, there is no half star on Goodreads.

Let me start off by saying: THIS IS AN EROTICA NOVEL. Readers shouldn't expect much "plot". And if they're looking for plot then they shouldn't be reading erotica. If you're disappointed that it's all sex scene after sex scene, well, too bad because - again - this is an EROTICA novel. An erotica novel is a fancy way of saying SEX BOOK. So, want plot? Read one of Paullina Simon's novels. Plenty of plot in there. Readers have to take a step back and look at the book for what it is and not what they are expecting.

I liked the characters Lizzie/Bettie and John. Their meeting is unusual and the lie Lizzie initially tells John is what drives most of the novel. Yes, it's fairly anti-climatic when we find out that John discovers by his own means that Lizzie is not actually an escort and then he waits to tell her that he already knows until she freely admits to her lie on her own. But who cares? John's realized he actually likes the woman underneath the hooker facade and Lizzie's already mistaken multiple orgasms for love, who cares, right?

That was the turn off for me which led to the lesser star. But I suppose it shows the emotional and obvious gap in their ages. They've got a journey ahead of them to figure out their relationship. And Lizzie falling in love with John just because he gives her plenty of orgasms IS NOT love. It's a whole lotta lust and infatuation. But hey, I wasn't really looking for emotional depth here. It's not that kind of book. This is pure escapism and that is what I was looking for when I read this book.

Girl goes to bar, sees handsome older gentleman, man offers the girl a drink & a trip to his room. But then the man asks the girl what her nightly rate is. What?

Is this how we imagine our Pretty Woman fantasies being played out? Not me! But this doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy the hell out of this book.

The well written prose, with a lovely setting of England, is a funny, sexy page turner. John Smith is our leading man who is 40ish looking for a one night stand. Lizzie is the heroine, she a a 20 something temp, college dropout, trying to find herself. Needless to say, the one night stand turns into many more nights.

There is some light BDSM in this book, Mr Smith says he is very into this kind of kink, but really all there is some spanking. The sex scenes are HOT, these two steam up the pages! The author doesn’t leave the sex in the bedroom either. There is a particular scene set out in the woods that is panty soaker.

I have a soft spot for our friends across the pond. I love a good romance set in England. This book was Pretty Woman meets This Man, John Smith, to me was a softer version of Jesse in the Jodi Ellen Mapas series I adore. The British lingo cracked me up. Bollocks, bloody, bugger, daft, wanker, ect…were some of my favorites.

Warning!! This book has a sequel coming out that I do not want to miss. The Accidental Mistress comes out August.

This book was so disappointing, I'm affraid to read other bokos from Portia da Costa.

Lizzie is an average girl, temping in offices and trying to find out what to do with her life. Until one night out she meets a beautiful man who mistakes her for a call girl. But he's so good looking and sexy she goes with it - because who doesn’t have a fantasie of being a sex worker, right? 😣- so she can explore some of her own fantasies and maybe have a night of fabulous sex - cause call girls have fantastic sex life... - that she will never forget and treasure forever... despite being paid for it.

Got it? This is the only plot you will see in the book. That's it. After that the book is just a sex scene after the other. There's no build up, there's not climax, there's no characters'development. The book is a collection of sex encounters. Really. I'm not joking. And I am not even analysing the morality of the situation, because after she lives her fantasies, she continues to meet him for paid ex and somehow he's a great guy, her friends are all supportive and etc. I was more annoyed at the lack of story.

*NetGalley provided me with a copy of this book for my honest review

Lizzie gets bored at a party and decides to go to the bar at the hotel where she meets John. John thinks she is a prostitute and wants to hire her for the night she doesn't correct them. He ends up hiring her for the time he is in town on business. The two of them grow closer and it becomes more than just sex. I did not like this book at all, I thought Lizzie was naive and made some really dangerous and stupid decisions. John was an older man and instead of finding him lust worthy I just found him creepy. Lizzies two friends/roommates came across as flat, they were more of a nuisance than anything else. The author did write a few interesting and imaginative love scenes. However I couldn't get over the utter ridiculousness of the plotline to enjoy this book.

I enjoyed this book, John is one hot, strong, and dominant man and I loved the idea of this book. It is truly a fantasy to meet a sexy man in a bar, and pretend to be someone your not and experience some of the best sex ever. I really like Lizzie, she is adventurist, loyal, and creative. I love them together and I have to say I was thrilled to death that the author did not have them go to "The Party" and mess around with other people, I was so happy they only spent time with each other. Her friend Brent needs some help and I really hope he does not get in the middle of their relationship. I loved the ending and I hope each book after just gets better and better. I will say I wish there was more content and I can't believe I am saying this but maybe a little less sex just so we could have more storyline.

SOME OF THE SEX SCENES SHOULD BE ILLEGAL! WOW!!

I gave Accidental Call Girl 4 stars, but I'm torn between a 3.5. It was written in the third person, which was strange yet interesting. I love Lizzie's character that I sometimes wished we could have had more of her inside thoughts. I think they would have been hilarious!

John Smith is charming and seductive and everything in between! Maybe it was just me, but at every mention of John Smith, I flashed backed to Pocahontas, and her John Smith!

Although, I did have some difficulty getting into this book at first, I did enjoy it and cannot wait to finish the other 2!

i read this book 'cause a recommendation from a GR's friend of mine.

and oh well, it's a lovely story. It's not one of fast-paced story, but it didn't make this story any less exciting.
Because the slowness of the story itself, we can feel the intensity of the story. It just make the story hotter ;)
The uncover mystery from this book didn't left us hanging, but it just make us curious. A good cliffhanger i guess.

but i couldn't help but compare this book to fifty's series. I see the similarities, but i also see the differences.
but anyway, i guess 4 stars is in order.

What can you expect when you pick up an erotic novel? A lot of sex and not a lot of plot, one could say. And this is exactly what this novel provides - though it had potential for so much more.

“The Accidental Call Girl” is one long sex scene - quite well written at that, I think, but after a while it just becomes repetitive and boring. So much so that I ended up fast forwarding through some of the events in the audiobook version, I was listening to. I never do that. It’s not a good sign.

And it’s really quite a shame that Portia Da Costa didn’t skip a few of the sex scenes in favor of some character developing scenes because this book could actually have been brilliant. There were things in the story that I actually quite enjoyed.

The story and the characters both have a lot of potential and their first encounter where John mistakes Lizzie for a call girl and she fancies him and choose not to correct the mistake is charming and enticing. I also enjoyed the blossoming love story between John and Lizzie but it felt a bit informed as they only ever exchanged witty banter and it was not obvious to me as a reader why they felt a connection (except for the sex of course).

I also felt that the story was built on a foundation of false conflict because both John and Lizzie held back from talking about their true feelings because... - yeah, why was that again? Didn’t really make sense though the nonsensical reasons were repeated over and over again. I can see that not being false conflict on the part of Lizzie (except for near the end) because when you’re young, you can feel like talking to a person could mean the end of the world. When you’re older, you often recognize that it’s the other way around so I’m not really buying it from John, a man in his forties

Who is He?

Boredom led Lizzie Aitchison to abandon her friends at a wedding party in the luxury Waverley Grange County Hotel. In the hotel bar she meets and accepts a drink from an attractive and handsomely dressed older man. Instantly the chemistry between them is explosive. And assuming she is a high class 'call girl' looking for a wealthy client, this older man introduces himself as John Smith and she gives her name as 'Bettie'. Wasting no time he immediately invites her to his hotel room.

Accepting his mistake to her identity, Lizzie follows him and after spending a thrilling erotic night together, they decide to continue their sexual relationship. At least, whilst John is in the local area on business. But what will happen when she finds out that he is extremely wealthy and she eventually decides to tell him that she is not an escort? Read and find out.

Happily ever comes after everything else but everything before makes the risks worthwhile. The Accidental Call Girl places 24 year old Lizzie at a crossroads in her life when she dares to experience life differently. She assumes the identity of Bettie Paige, an escort to the wealthy John Smith. Lizzie reminds that the heart is a great teacher.

A very SWEET story!!!

I loved the beginning of the “Accidental” series! John and Lizzy (or is it Betty or ??) were really a special couple. They were both so hesitant/unsure of where this relationship was going to go. The start to their relationship was a very unusual beginning - to say the least! I loved all aspects of the story! Portia outdid herself!!

I have to admit I have had this book in my cupboard for 2 years and what a mistake that was. This has been one of the best books I have read. I started it 2 days ago and have completed the 1st in the trilogy and are now moving onto the 2nd one. If you are interested in the fifty shades trilogy this one will definitely have you hooked.

I raced through this on a second, or maybe a third read. Skipped some of the sex scenes as they became a bit repetitive but I just liked the Englishness of the language after all the American erotica. I could see Hugh Grant in his Bridget Jones character delivering some of the lines, earthy, to the point and witty.

I haven't read an erotic novel for a while, there's always more sex than story, this book is the same but there's still a story.

It's like pretty woman, but she's not really a working girl, she's just having some fun. John Smith is looking for some fun and he finds it, he's also into BDSM.

A sexy read.

Thrilling and very saucy!

I never thought these kinds of stories would have any decent plot line or interesting characters.... this book definitely went against that stereotype!

And oh goodness was it saucy!! I actually found I want to read the next one!

This is an interesting concept and the dynamic between John and Lizzie is fun and interesting. John comes across as a thoughtful and fun lover whilst Lizzie is not a stereotypical sub. She's not afraid to speak her mind when it's needed
Great start to the series!
